There are one thousand (1000) milliliters in a liter, so one milliliter is one-thousandths of a liter.

In a 5 ml bottle how many drops would there be if a drop is 60 mg?

Mixing weight and volume not ideal.

5 milliliters is 5/1000ths of a litre.

60 milligrams is 60/1000ths of a gram.

You can assume that 1ml weighs 1mg. Distilled water does. Oil will be slightly different, but not enough to worry about.

I'll leave you to do the maths but the problem could be if 'mg' is in fact a microgram, much smaller amount.. :>)

What is 300milligrams in milliliters

There is no direct conversion between milligrams & milliliters; they represent measurements of two different things; milligrams measures mass and milliliters measures volume.

You would need to know the potency, how many milligrams of the given substance, is in a given volume of the liquid, in order to know what would be a equal amount.

Need to find out how many mils there are in 7 grams

Top Ley,

There are 7000 milligrams in 7 grams. You shouldn't use a calculator for this.

Wherever you come across the prefix "milli" you have to think of a thousandth. For example: a millimeter is one thousandth of a meter (IE, there are 1000 millimeters in a meter). So, to illustrate this further:

1 Gram = 1000 milligrams
1 Meter = 1000 millimeters
1 Liter = 1000 milliliters
1 Cromartie = 1000 millicromarties

So, you use this as the basis for all future proportions. Please make sure that you master the common measurements (like the ones listed - save for the Cromarties) before moving onto your next science topic.

9 dL or 1,000 mL is bigger

9 dL is 9 deciliters, or 9 "tenths" of a liter, or .9 liter. 1000 mL is 1000 milliliters, which is 1 liter. :-)
