Tower pushing out air and beeping and can't turn on PC

This is a problem with my dell computer, but not the desktop. When I turn on the tower to get started, the tower is beeping at me and a lot of air is coming from the back...like a fan running. I can feel the air as well as hear it. I used my computer a few days ago with no problems so this is wierd.

What kind of beep, one long beep then pause and beep again, a bunch of beeps, or a combination of different type of beeps. Try resetting the BIOS by either using the BIOS jumper or removing the BISO battery and turning the computer on then off, replacing the BIOS battery and turning the computer on again. REMEMBER opening the computer WILL VOID THE WARRIENTY!!! The BIOS battery looks like a watch battery.

How many beeps do you hear? One beep is normal, it's part of the POST process. The post is checking to make sure everything is connected before starting up. You'll need a keyboard, monitor, and RAM. So you want to make sure that your RAM is seated securely. Also this could indicate an issue with the Hard Drive if it can't find anything to boot from. It helps to know how many beeps and if you've done any upgrading lately.

The beeping is post codes. they are telling you something is wrong. the code is a code for what is wrong like 3 beeps 4 beeps 1 Beep then repeatsthat code is 341. first thing i would do is pull out you ram and reseat it. that is the most common problem.

The Dell Mini-Tower Studio computer won't turn on? This occurred about 4 months ago it did the same, then all of a sudden we pushed the button and it turned on.

The power source is failing - it will have to be replaced. You can find a generic 400 watts one in almost every shop that sells pc's. Installing it is easy - the cables plug only the right way.

Dell Inspiron 530 beeps 6 times when turned on and doesnt start. The fan runs during this process untill the beeps. Tried unplugging everything and then just the monitor and tower, same result.

you have to reseat the memory
Reseat means you have to remove the memory while the computer is unplug from the system

1. Unplug the power cable from the system
2. Press the Power button for about 5-10 secs to drain any electro static discharge
3. Locate the memory bay
it looks like this chaistars.jpg

Theres 2 white clips in each side
you have to press the 2 white clips on each side to remove it
if you 2 memory you have to remove both of them then put it back the way it was removed and push it towards the slot like you see in the picture.

you must heat that it clicks , thats the indicator that its properly seated.
please be careful and do not put too much pressure when pushing/pressing it down.

Hope that helps

Dell vista will not boot up

Typically, it's a memory problem. If you have multiple memory modules, leave one in the CPU at a time and boot your system todetermine which module is bad. Good luck.

System couldnot respond after booting dell gx270

Try to check connections between the monitor and the System Unit or what they called CPU. Turn on the computer you must hear 1 beep means the computer start normally. if you haven't, try taking out any new installed hardware but not the video card if you don't have onboard video device and turn on your computer again.. if problem still exist keep in touch.. TY
