Not sure which number you are looking for but if it is the S/N then it should be on the sticker attached to the router. If you are looking for the IP address then you just need to hook up a data cable from your router to your computer. Click on the router when it pops up and you can find the IP address.

How to reset netgear xet1001

You can reset your Netgear router/wireless xet1001 router to the factory settings from within the router manager. The reset procedure removes all user-configured settings and returns the router to the original factory settings.

For this reason, only reset the router if you encounter problems that can't be solved with other methods.

Step 1: Check that your Netgear router/wireless xet1001 router is properly connected with your system or not. If it is OK, then press reset button on Netgear router for at least 10 seconds. The 'test' light should flash during this process.

Step 2: Now open browser and enter Netgear's IP address into the address bar. Generally, '192.168.0.1' is the Netgear router IP address but you can find specific IP address in Netgear router manual.

Step 3: Now enter your default username and password to log in to router.

Step 4: Click 'Erase' button under the 'Revert to Factory Default Settings'. This process will erase all your previous changes that have been made to the router and restore the configuration settings to factory setting. Don't interrupt the process until the process is finished.

Once the router's 'test' light has stopped blinking and the configuration page you are on has refreshed, the router has been reset.

Got an xbox 360 for xmas want to go wireless with rotor

The NETGEAR CD is for the router only. If you are connecting the XBOX to the router, you must configure the router so that it can give a connection to your XBOX. Call NETGEAR for that. You can try this also http://technicalsupport.blog.friendster.com

Netgear WGR614 router

Hi supermosang .

Have you check the new firmaware update for your Netgear? ..pls do so first before proceeding to the next step provided below.

Next approach is to unistall and reinstall you 'reciever' to avoid any conflicts and isolate the issue. If that step is still a no go we might as well reset your netgear router to its factory settings and then lets start from there. It should work as your router has fanstastic features that supports 26bit encryption.

Good Luck.
