I think the message is "Reseat All Originals in Document Processor". This message apears when there was a misfeed or something like that. It means that you must put back all the documents, to be scanned again. Clean the paper feed/pickup rollers with a cloth dampned in alcohol.

Results for "unknown processor"

So, I take it you have changed the original processor and it shows up as unknown processor in your device manager.?
If this is the case and the unit is proferming correctly, leave it alone.
If it is not, replace the processor with the original.

Make sure that you have the monitor plugged into your video card if you have one (usually a horizontal port), and not your motherboard(usually a vertical port).
If it's not a plug issue, then if you press F8 repeatedly while the computer is starting, Windows will give you a boot menu, select the option "Enable VGA Mode" and windows will revert the resolution to a more common one, and will allow you to reset the resolution to one that your video processor can handle.

#1: Shut down your computer. You must first shut your computer down to initiate the factory restore. #2: Start up your computer and as the computer logo appears (such as Dell or HP) hit "Ctrl>F11" simultaneously. This may be different for different machines, but the most common keys to hit are "Ctrl>F11." If this does not work, the F8 key has been said to work for certain machines.
#3: Select "Repair My Computer" from the list of menu options that appear and press "Enter."
#4: Choose the language settings that you would like and then click enter.
#5: Enter the administrator log in and password if it asks you for this information.
#6: Choose the factory reset option. This should reset your computer to the factory settings when you bought your machine.

This is just a narrowing down process to determine where the exact problem is. This could be a processor problem, but I really think that it's with the memory. You can narrow down the problem to a bad chip, and which chip, if you put only one chip in at a time. The machine will run on only one chip, it does not need both, and by putting two in you will not be able to determine if it's a bad chip or which one.
Check and clean the second slot to be sure that nothing is up in it, and check the processor for the proper seating. Then try the machine with only the first chip in the, no chip in the second slot. If none of the chips work, new or old, in either the first slot or second slot by themselves, then you know that the problem is elsewhere, and that you may have damaged the processor in changing out the memory. This is the process of elimination that any decent tech uses in diagnosing the problem.

Wireless

Since you have the slot for the wireless card, you can purchase an internal card for the machine, try Price Watch or Ebay. On the processor, the G40 came out with Pentium 4 2.0ghz, 2.4ghz, 2.6ghz, and 3.0ghz. any of these will work as long as they were designed for IBM Thinkpad. I buy most of the processors for my shop off Ebay. I would check there. If you do buy from Ebay, be sure that the processor came from an IBM machine.
