Question about Nokia 6288 Cellular Phone
Please can someone help, my camera on my nokia 6288 is on standby mode and i cant use it, please can someone tell me how to take it off of this, its doing my head in
If the camera function will not save a picture and instead gives you the "Camera on standby" warning, but your phone is otherwise working, and you haven't used up all your memory, the problem might be with the MicroSD card. Many Nokia phones format MicroSD with, I think, FAT16, which limited the number of files that fit in a given folder to 256. You may have just filled up the camera memory folder with 256 files and you need to delete some or create a new folder on the MicroSD and use that as the new camera memory bank. Happened with my Nokia 6126 a few minutes ago and I was PISSED until i realized the quick fix.

Ok if it goes on standby , click options when on you're phone's camera , ... stroll down to settings and click " storage " and change it to save to your memory card :)

In case someone still need a solution. My 6288 develop the same problem. In addition, the backlight does not work. Sit in my cupboard for around one year and decide to repair it the other day. It is basically cause by a lose connector under the screen. To reach the connector, you need to pull the faceplate off (pull at the top part at the on/off button). Next, pull the LCD screen lock (silver colour metal strip) to unlock the lcd screen, be careful and don't damage the metal strip. Lift the screen and you can see all the ribbon cables. Finally, pull out the faceplace of the pushbutton glue to the phone. Now, you should have access to the connector. Push the connector back to position and you should hear the connector "click" together.
Good luck and hope this help

i know how you all feel atm... don't you all feel like throwing your phone at the wall and stomping on it? cos i sure did...
well..there is a simple solution to the camera problem.
what you have to do is change the destination of where you would like to store your photos!
just change that...and it should be working again
