There was a problem with teflon sleeve in hp 1020 printer. so i replaced new teflon sleeve. But after i replaced teflon sleeve i faced a new problem. that is, there is a noise just like a drum frictio

when replacing the Teflon sleeve did you clean the heating element? if so did you also re apply new fuser lube? this Lube is not a normal lube.. its a lube that is specifically manufactured for fuser units and Teflon sleeves.. you can buy it thru a Company called Precision Roller look them up on line

All our printed documents are coming out with a smudged line on both sides of the printed documents. Is there a way to self clean the printer?

Service engineers:Are you replaced Teflon Sleeve?, If yes replace with another sleeve with good grease/paste.
For users: Through Fuser cleaning mode U can clean, but it won't give effective result. Try this. Go 2 menu, scroll 2 device manager, scroll 2 system setup, scroll to print quality, scroll 2 fuser modes, scroll 2 fuser cleaning enter.. If U are not satisfied replace fuser assembly Or teflon sleeve..

The IT Dept. at work gave me a Laserjet 2420. When I print something, it appears that ink is stuck to the roller and will reproduce faded lines further down in the page. I would describe it as the toner is...

Faulty cartride or fuser causes ghoost image in print outs. Primary level:check with another cartridge. Secondry level: Remove fuser assm out, check teflon sleeve surface deposited with toner?. replace teflon sleeve if available if not replace fuser assm. In fuser modes we can increase/decrese the temparature of fuser.
Note: only service engineer can replace the teflon sleeve.. user not advisable

Hi i have two hp2015 ans the printer has started to smear the ink on the rollers, would the fuser need replacing or is it the paper type?

The function of Fuser (covered by Teflon sheet) is to heat the paper in order to fuse the toner to the paper. Toner sometimes smears after the print 1. If the fuser is not heating properly, 2. Teflon (Fuser sleeve) is damaged or 3 Paper is thick (Card). If you are using normal paper, then it could be the fuser.

Hope it helps! Good Luck!

check if it happens with any other machine to narrow down the problem.Once you know if its the printer or the MAC it would be easier to fix.MAC usually does not give problems.
