If you have a problem with the convergence, believe me, going into the service menu and trying to correct it will only give you large headaches, DO NOT USE THR SERVICE MENU UNLESS YOU ARE A TRAINED TECH!!!! Doing so can result in a complete and total failure of this TV set. I service menu is not for any major changes in any adjustment. It is not the cure all. If your convergence all of a suddenly shifted, it is not a service menu issue. Your problem is the convergence amp IC's. Good Luck

SOURCE: camera is locked up

I have found that most lock-up problems are the result of some obstruction (sand, grit) or perhaps impact damage. Send it to me for a N/C estimate. I've been in the camera repair business for over 30 years. www.flcamerarepair.com

My toshiba tv will not let me change the digital audio selector

Try a factory reset to this set, and then check. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

Cant restore to factory settings tried 0,f1 and f8 none work

When your Toshiba Satellite laptop goes on the fritz, there are several instances where the best solution is to delete everything and start over. If your system frequently crashes or you can't remove a specific virus, you may want to restore the laptop back to original factory settings. While the easiest way to restore the system is to use the operating system restore disc, it is possible to restore the system without it. Each Satellite laptop also includes a hard drive recovery utility that lets you restore the operating system without the restore disc.

1. Take account of any files or programs you still want to use after the Toshiba laptop is restored back to its factory settings. Transfer the files to a backup location, such as a USB flash drive or external hard drive.

2. Restart the Toshiba Satellite laptop's operating system. Wait for the Toshiba logo to appear on the screen.

3. Press the key that brings up the hard drive disk utility menu. Depending on the specific model of your Toshiba Satellite laptop, the key will either be "0," "F1," or "F8."

4. Press "1" or click "Restore Original Factory Image." Click "Yes." Select "Next" to begin the restoration process.

5. Restart the Toshiba laptop computer when the restoration process finishes running. Follow the prompts that appear on the screen to set up the laptop's date, time and language settings.

6. Transfer the backup copies of the data you saved earlier back to the Toshiba's hard drive. Re-install any programs you need, such as your software firewall or anti-virus tool.

I hope you find it very helpful. Thank you for using fixya.com

Perfect focus not working

I purchased mine about 5 months ago. Ive been researching and playing around with the remote. This will help you on the way. With the set off, press "Mute", 1, 8, 2 then turn the tv on. This will bring up the main settings, dont change any values on any page, unless you write the origonal values down first, because the total reset doesnt return everything to a "factory" preset. Scroll down to reset and press the enter key. I havent come across any owners or service manuals, and support is slim to none. I wrote a review for the same model on a wal-mart site I believe, and it explains adjustments in more detail. If you want to try to figure out the buttons for yourself, while the tv is on, press "Mute 1, 8, 3" this is another set of adjustments for finer detail. If you change an adjustment here and your not sure, just press the exit button. To save your adjustments in the convergence mode, press and hold the enter button, it should flash a few times and center itself on the screen. If you make a mistake in this mode, the total reset I mentioned first should get you back on track. If you find anything out or have a question, feel free to write me at Silverado1st@aol.com
