Good Morning Friend,

I understand you are getting sparks in back of the drum on your Frigidaire dryer, model# GLEQ2152ES. There are a number of possibilities that might cause sparks in the back of your dryer drum. I suggest not using your appliance until you contact a local authorized technician and have them out to look at this issue. They will be able to diagnose your dryer and determine what is causing the spark in the drum of your dryer. Besides, I'm sure you don't want to damage your dryer if it is something that might cause damage from continuing to use it. . I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your refrigerator status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-
WP

Probably the rear bearing has failed and caused the drum to rub against the heating element. Hey, is this the guy that said he heard a noise last month? LOL

Our GE front load dryer sparks at the vent near the wall when plugged in and the dryer will not turn on.

May need to check ur thermal shut off with a multimeter? but the spark from vent is strange? are u saying the venting into the wall hole is sparking with the lint goes as it exits the dryer? as for the squeaking could have been bearings or even the rollers, etc but that would not cause a sparking to take effect? unless u mean its sparking from the terminal block where power cord is connected?

I was drying rugs and one of the rugs got caught and the drum stopped turning. The power comes on but the dryer drum will not turn.

Hello, one possible cause of dryer drum not rotating is the rugs stuck between the drum and front panel.Secondly, maybe the dryer belt dispart.

I need to get inside the dryer and check it out. how do i get in? top?front?back?

LWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
If you have to check/replace/repair your drum motor or belt or other things and if you have a front loading machine:
Note: This method works for most front loading machines.
Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer. Be real careful not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch or other electrical connections.
Remove the lint filter and the screws that hold the filter housing.
Then remove the top of the dryer.
Note: Some of the tops tilt backwards and do not have to be removed completly.
Remove the front of the machine, this will expose the belt and drum, remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm bracket with pulley, and motor with pulley. Pay attention to the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt and drum.
Sometimes the belt will slip off of the idler arm or motor causing the drum not to turn.
While you have the drum out, I would recommend that you lubricate the drum rollers at the shaft of the roller with a good grade of machine oil like 3 in One oil. This will save you a problem later with the rollers getting noisy, also check your drum rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them this will cause a noise like a thumping type noise. You will need to replace the drum rollers if they have flat spots on them.

Bosch 500 series dryer double knock when drying even though nothing heavy in the load

Hello nachosmurf, The symptom you're describing is typically an indication of worn drum rollers, but can also be attributed to mis-alignment due to not being level/square. If you have a level, set it on top of the dryer and insure the unit is level, from side to side and back to front. If the unit is not level it can cause the cabinet to be un-square as to cause the drum to roll over the support rollers on a slight angle and manifest in the manner you've described - thump thump as the seam in the drum passes over the rollers. As I aluded to though, the rollers may in fact be worn. What is the age of the dryer and how often does it operate ? Daily ? 1-2 a week ? What are your loading habits, large loads as a rule, or as an exception ? Let me know if leveling the unit yields any results, if not you'll need to inspect the drum rollers and the drum itself which are accessed through the back, as is most everything with these dryers. Good luck. Let me know if you require any further assistance, if any of this solves your problem awesome ! Please take a moment to rate the info accordingly. Macmarkus :)

Reach inside the drum and feel the drum inserts to see if one of those has come loose. Sometimes you can have one of those screws back out and hit something on the inside. Could also be a bent drum (doubtful unless its been overloaded or abused real bad) a front slide is bad (would probably cause squeeking or grinding noise) or rear bering (also should squeek or grind). Good Luck!!! Jim
