Question about General Electric GE Industrial Dept. TM2020CCU Main Breaker Load Center

Open Question

I have a 17 year old home with a GE TM2020 Mod.1 K639 that I need to replace the front panel and door. Does anyone know where to find one? I ordered what I thought to be a replacement from Amazon and it will not work. The newer TM2020's were reconfigured and will not fit my box. Any solution would be apprieciated.

How to calculate modulus

This calculator does not support the modulus operation directly, you have to simulate by a divide followed by a subtraction and a multiplication. Suppose you want to calculate 256 mod 17:
  1. Key in 256 [÷] 17 [=] and get the result 15,0588...
  2. Note the 15 in front of the decimal separator and key in [−] 15 [=]
  3. Get the modulus: [×] 17 [=], result should be 1.

Given the model serial number I could get your decorative panels. The door itself is a framed door and designed to take a 1/4" insert. You can have new panels made if you have changed the cabinets, order stainless steel panels or put another material of your choosing. If you would like the more about the panels reply with mod and ser number which is in the freezer door jamb at eye level. Open the door past 90 degrees and look in.

GE over the range Microwave shutting off

This is often due to a defective or loose magnetron causing electrical interference and disruption in the control circuit board.

If your magnetron was recently replaced, it may have loose mounting nuts or bolts or the wire mesh RF gasket was not installed or got pinched.

It may also need a new high-voltage diode and stirrer, and the cavity may be affected.

GE had a campaign (but not a recall, mind you!) covering several models.

Details are in their bulletin at

The parts kit (that GE used to pay for) is part # WB27X10489 and is shown in the photo here:

If you or a friend decide to look into it, we have critical information on safety, disassembly and door switches at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa:

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here:

You say this is only 2 years old? I thought these models were much older... GE may cover it, but you'll have to contact them.
