Google comes up on my screen y isnt it

Go to google.com to use their search. I could tell you more, but I need to know which browser you are using. I recommend installing Google Chrome and set it as 'default' search engine when installing if asked. You can download Chrome here, it installs itself: https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/#brand=CHMB&utm_campaign=en&utm_source=en-ha-na-us-sk&utm_medium=ha

Google Chrome home page defaults to Delta search, despite me trying to change it to Google search in Chrome Settings. The changes I am making are not applying. What am I doing wrong?

Go to settings --> Search -->
there from the dropdown box, choose "google" or other, whichever you want, as the default search engine..

OR

in the extensions, uninstall the DELTA search tool bar, if accidentally it was installed.

How do I set google as my default search engine

In Google Chrome, click on the picture of a Wrench in the top right hand corner. The click on "Options". Near the bottom of the page will be your search options. Click on "Manage Search Engines" to select your default.

In Firefox, click on the Icon in the search box. Then click on "Manage Search Engines". From here you can move google to the top of the list, making it your default search engine. If for some reason you don't see google in the list, you can click on "Get more search engines" to locate and install it.

Want to change my browser to google it wont let me

Do you need to set your home page as Google or do you want to install google chrome or do you need to set your default browser as google chrome?

For setting Home Page
Please goto tools - internet options and under general tab type www.google.com

For installing Google chrome
Just search on google search engine and you can download and install it

For setting google chrome as default browser
For XP - goto add or remove programs and select Set program access and defaults at the left bottom - Then select chrome and click ok and restart
For Vista & Win 7 - Click on Start and type default programs and click on the highlighted search option and do the same steps as like in XP

It can also be the firewall causing the issues. You need to check the firewall and your antivirus settings. If you need online help, you can contact TheBestPcDoctor.I got my issue fixed by them. Great Support. You can contact them @

I used to have google chrome as my search engine but now it keeps getting mugged by "ask jeeves" or babylon search. How can I get rid of these and go back to what I had before?

This may happen when you install new freeware software e.t.c. and it installs their affiliated search engine on your browser e.t.c

To change it back to google.com follow these steps
1) Open chrome
2) Click the spanner icon in the top right (settings)
3) Scroll down and click options
4) The options screen should appear, the second to last option is what you need to change.

From here click "Manage search engines" and Google as default

If its the home page or new tab, you can manage all this on the same page.
