Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Renewed the HP 102 grey cartridge, the printer now doesn't install it gives an error report that the cartridge fails and to replace it. Have done with 2 new cartridges. The printer graph shows a zero level of ink. The printer now will only allow backup print with cartridge removed. Have cleaned cartridge terminals with Distilled H2O, no luck. HP does not support this printer, anything I can do other than junk it? any help appreciated Best regards Alfred

SOURCE: inkjet refills
as you are using a refilled cartridge, it is causing this problem. the thickness of ink in a hp genuine cartridge and a refilled cartridge varies. and also the refilled cartridge may make your printer faulty. so it is good to try with a new hp genuine ink cartridges.
thanks and regards

I had this same exact problem. Try doing:
1. Unplug the power cord from printer.
2. Hold both o.k and Cancel simultaneously.
3. Plug the power cable while holding the buttons.
After I did this my printer reconfigured like it used to do and it was like it was new again.... well new plus a headache a managed to get while reading all these little posts. I hope this helps!
