Question about Sony KDF-E55A20 55 in. LCD Television

When I try to turn on my Sony KDF-E55A20 55 in. LCD Television The light blinks green for approximately 90 seconds and then stays on. When the light stops flashing the screen goes from black to: http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/1653/pic0046mo6.jpg What can I do to fix the problem?

Sure want a lot for free OK here it is:

If there is no sound and no osd just lines in the picture.
Replace the dmb block the cost is about $400 may be less or call a TV tech that will cost about $350 plus parts.

PS - very good post!!!!!!!!! if only some of the others would do like you they may get some of there question answered.

The LED light "LAMP" indication stay on or flashes in this problems?Yes,the projection lamp is the causes and problems.Change the projection lamp,should solved the problems.

Screen went black no sound no picture when i turn the power on power light comes on green i hear a click and then it goes blinking red


How many times red light blinks? It is error code of problem in TV.
There would be pause of 3 seconds between blinks so count from pause to pause and let me know to find out solution.

KDF-E50A10 - TV keeps turning off and on


It sounds like it is just the lamp, be sure to replace it with an original Sony lamp, the replacements are unreliable
