Whirlpool washer ties clothes in knots on spin cycle

Its the wash or rinse cycle that is tieing the clothes in knots not the spin cycle. Try putting less shirts in. It happens because of the agitation during the wash. Or pin the sleeves together.

Problem is after washing the clothes,i can find some stains sticking on it.Can someone suggest me a sollution?

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. If you still have stains on the clothes, your agitation may not be working correctly. The motor drive controls the agitation of the washer. This is what cleans the clothes. It may be bad. Do you know if it is agitating?

Excessive lint on washed clothes

Your washer does not have a lint filter, so it's very important to sort lint givers from the lint takers. Washers today to not have lint filters because we rely on the dryer to remove lint that does not get pump out with the wash water.

Below are tips taken directly out of the user's manual:

  • Did you sort properly? Sort lint givers (towels, chenille) from lint takers (corduroy, synthetics). Also sort by color.
  • Did you overload the washer? The wash load must be balanced and not overloaded. Clothes should move freely. Lint or powdered detergent can be trapped in the load if overloaded. Wash smaller loads.
  • Did you select the correct water level? The water level should be correct for the load size. The load should be under water.
  • Did you use enough detergent? Follow manufacturer's directions. Use enough detergent to hold the lint in the water.
  • Did you line dry your clothing? If so, you can expect some lint on the clothing. The air movement and tumbling of a dryer removes lint from the load.
  • Was paper or tissue left in the pockets?
  • Is your water colder than 60°F (15.6°C)? Wash water colder than 60°F (15.6°C) may not completely dissolve the detergent.
  • Did you use the proper cycle time and agitation speed for the load? Reducing wash time (duration) and agitation speed are ways to reduce lint.

My GE top load washer is about 5 months old. It fills up and runs through the agitation cycle but then stops at the end spin cycle. The clothes just sit in the water. I checked the hose for kinks and...

I have had this problem with two of my previous washers a top loader and front loader. Each time it was a faulty pump that drains the water from the tub after the wash cycle is complete. If the water does not drain from the tub the machine will not go to the spin cycle. Both of my washers were 5 or 6 years old when this occurred. If the washer is only 5 months old it should be under the manufactures warranty. Good Luck.

Load squeal when it in the agitation cycle.

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.
