SOURCE: how to put together a black n decker grass

No, it is not heavy duty enough to drive a blade. It should have cuttting line in it and it only can use up to .065" string (factory recommended).

I used it yesterday and today it will not start. Battery is full charge. Button key is in place.

I would first take a meter and test that the battery actually charged. If that tests out fine ( should read at about 12.8 to 13.5 Vdc), I would then check all the wired connections to make sure they did not come loose.

The trimmer makes weired noise and a burning smelly

The obvious is that you have something around the head and it is burning or the bearing in the head is stuffed. Go and buy a new head it would be easier to this then replacing the bearing.

Black decker problem

Be sure something is not obstructing the rotation of the trimmer head. If something like a small vine or twig is jammed inside the head it would make a noise and have very little rotation. If the motor brushes were worn you might get the same symptoms.

Just bought a brand new Husqvarna 224L Trimmer. Started it up and it runs fine. But the trimmer head will not turn. It just makes a grinding noise. The manual that came with the trimmer is useless. It says...

Hi, take it back to the dealer as the powered or gear box have not been fitted correctly. The noise you can hear is most likely the clutch drive grinding on the drive shaft. Hope this helps, regards Phil.

Head of trimmer/edger doesn't spin

i have the same problem, the plastic timing pulley on the motor assembly is probably melted, remove all the screws down the side of the housing, including the one hidden under the label, and you will find that the belt and the pulley are both chewed up.
