Question about Kenmore Front Load Washer
Washer did not complete spin cycle. Left a little water behind in tub. Will switch from cycle to cycle - ok. When you try to start Drain/Spin cycle to remove water - machine makes a grinding noise. Machine is only 3 years old. What do you think?

it could be the direct drive coupling that connects the motor to the transmission. fill it up with water and see if it will agitate, if it will NOT agitate then it is a good chance that this is the problem.
worse case scenario is the transmission is bad, but this is unlikely.

If your washer won't spin, check these:
It doesn't pump or spin
It pumps, but doesn't spin
It spins only with the lid closed
It doesn't pump or spin If it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows:
Drive pulleys The motor or transmission drive pulley may be worn and unable to turn the drive belt. If so, replace the pulley.
Transmission The transmission could have either of these problems:
