My Roper washing machine will not complete a cycle. It stops before it gets to rinse. If I turn it off and wait a few hours, it will run and finish if I waited long enough. Could the motor be dying?


ATTACHEMENTS ON HOW TO TEST MOTOR


The following test must be made on one-, two-, and three-speed drive motors:

1.
Touch and hold one ohmmeter probe to the terminal on the white/black wire from the motor.

2.touch the other ohmmeter probe to the terminal on the white wire from the motor.

3.The ohmmeter should showZEROresistance (continuity). If not, the drive motor is bad and needs replacing.

Start Winding

4.
Touch and hold one ohmmeter probe to the terminal on the black wire from the motor.

5.Touch the other ohmmeter probe to the terminal on the yellow wire from the motor.

6.The ohmmeter should show a reading between 4-10 ohms.

7.If you do not get this reading, the drive motor is bad and needs replacing.

High Winding

Touch and hold one ohmmeter probe to the terminal on the white wire from the motor.

9.touch the other ohmmeter probe to the terminal on the blue wire from the motor.

10.The ohmmeter should show a reading between 0-4 ohms.

54.The ohmmeter should show a reading between 2-8 ohms.

55.If you do not get this reading, the drive motor is bad and needs replacing.

The following three (3) checks must be made on all one-, two-, and three-speed drive motors to check for an internal failure (short):

Touch and hold one ohmmeter probe to the drive motor housing.

One at a time touch the other ohmmeter probe to each of the wires (terminals)coming from the drive motor.

The ohmmeter should show an open circuit when each of the wires (terminals)are checked. If not, the drive motor is bad and needs replacing.


HOW TO live TEST a G.E - MOTOR

After removing the cabinet follow the wires from the motor halfway up the tub. Then cut and splice the ORANGE, the BLUE, the VIOLET /WHITE, & the RED wires.
Now using a long long extension cord with the end connector cut off and exposing the 2 end wires stripped back about an inch.

To check the spin cycle: Connect and splice the RED & the Blue wires to one end of the extension cord wire. And the ORANGE & WHITE /VIOLET to the other end of extension cord, be sure to use but connectors or electrical tape. Plug in the cord an the wash cycle should start? If not the motor is bad.

To check the wash cycle: Connect the BLUE and the WHITE/VIOLET wires to one end of cord. And the ORANGE & RED connected to the other end of cord, then plug in and the wash cycle should start? If not the motor is bad.

By the way my advice is free cuz God is good!

Steps you should to to find the exact problem.
first, lubricate the treadmill. Use it. and when the problem come up. Turn off the treadmill, open the motor hood, Touch the drive motor, if the drive motor is supper hot. The drive motor is shorted. The burning smell is came from it.
you need to replace or rewind drive motor.

- The heater does not turn on.

Countermeasure
- Check the connector of the fixing film unit.
- Replace the fixing film unit.

Xbox 360 emits whirring and clicking noises and constantly fails to detect discs in the dvd drive


One of the drive motors is starting to go, either the disc spinner motor or the laser lens motor.

You could either replace the whole disc drive, keep in mind you need to swap the circuit boards. You could also replace the motor, you will have to dig pretty deep into the disc drive to get access to the motor.

Washer appears to have problem with spin cycle error message E46


Are you sure about the E46 code, could it possibly be E4B? Here are the repair manual "4" codes and action steps:


Codes 42,45,49: Motor Drive operation above design limits
  • Ensure all 4 shipping bolts have been properly removed.
  • Remove all foreign objects that may be lodged between inner and outer basket.
  • Look for signs of seized bearing(s) on basket and drum motor, replace components as necessary.
  • Inspect condition and mounting of door gasket, replace and re-mount as necessary.
  • Ensure inner basket (drum) can rotate freely.
  • IF ABOVE STEPS DO NOT CLEAR THE PROBLEM: Replace motor drive or drum motor.

Codes 43,4A,4B,4C,4E,4F,50,52,53,54: Motor Drive internal problems
  • Measure AC outlet voltage, ensure correct range (102V to 132V AC).
  • Check electrical connections at the drum motor, motor drive.
  • Check harness integrity between main control and motor drive.
  • Unplug the unit, wait 30 seconds, restart the unit.
  • If the fault persists and re-appears - replace the motor drive.

The rollers are not turning. It is not an electrical problem because water shoots from the top.


There are two motors usedi n an Aquabot. The pump motor is separate from the drive motor, and the drive motor acts to drive the wheel tubes by means of a belt drive system. If the drive motor is working ( lookiing at the unit under power, the drive motor shaft which an be seen on either side of the unit is turning) ,t
Then you have a dive belt problem, solved by replacing the drive belts. If you happen to be in or near Phoenix, Arizona, I can help you replace the belts. i have a check for you but is not an easy fix.
if fuser drive is gone will cost approx £12 to replace.
