SOURCE: i have a phillips flat screen TV that when I turn

If it is a CRT type display, then I would suspect the Line Output Transistor or Transformer. If it is an LCD then a supply is missing to the processing portion of the set and if it is a Plasma then again a power supply fault.
I need more information.

37" Philips LCD no sound.

Maybe the antenna that you are using is not picking up sound from the channels. It could also be the cable. If it makes a humming noise, it means that the speakers are getting electric current and that they SHOULD be okay. It also could be your tuner. Maybe check it all out at some tech place like best buy. Those guys can help

Trouble turning on tv. High pitched noise/click.

The mainboard might have some loose components, or cold solder , or may be the filter capacitors are becoming faulty. Yes it is worth repairing, bring it to the repair shop. Cheers.

Phillips 32" LCD TV, Sound through TV speakers has a buzzing noise which is steadily getting more aNNOYING AND LOUDER.

We are having the "buzz" problem with our new 42' Phillips LCD too.

We do not have a sound system yet...but have read they have the same problem, so I won't assume when I get a sound system it will go away. What I did do for now...and it helped..

Go to the SOUND portion of TV menu
Choose EQUALIZER
Turn down the two FAR RIGHT columns, they are the treble. It helped us.
