sounds like its the CCFL trying to come back on, either that or like on my sony Bravia when it selects input sources it makes a clicking sound as well.
1) is got a bad CCFL
2) it has a bad psu
3) if its under warranty take it back

ok these tvs have a comon short problem if you turn it off & remove back of tv then remove the metal shield (cap) off the video &sound boards it will probally have no more problems then put back on not shield only remove the cap

If it is a CRT type display, then I would suspect the Line Output Transistor or Transformer. If it is an LCD then a supply is missing to the processing portion of the set and if it is a Plasma then again a power supply fault.
I need more information.

sounds like the Main Elec on the PSU is bad and needs changing
