Question about Kenwood KDC-BT8044U Car CD / USB/ MP3 Player

1 Answer

BT8044U is a new receiver for me. Sometimes the sound is like muted and display shows tuner is receiving signal but says "Waiting". What is wrong? The usb cable is not connected and cap is missing so maybe it has got in touch with metal - in case it has happened the manual says the unit will malfunction. If that is the reason how can I fix the problem?

Reset it by unplugging it then plugging back in. If that doesn\'t reset it check the manual for how to reset it.

Sennheiser ew135 mutes at random moments during a show and it also displays MUTE on the LCD screen. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like wireless signal problems...the receiver will mute when it loese signal from the transmitter (mic).
1. Raise the receiver up higher in the performance area.
2. Stay within the recommended range/distance stated in the owners manual.
3. Read "If a problem occurs" section of owners manual...page 31 "MUTE appears on display panel." For some reason I can't link the owners manual here, but sweetwater music has it at the bottom of the Sennheiser ew135 sales page.

FM Tuner not receiving - Yamaha R7 receiver

Take the cover off and look at the cable that connects the tuner to the main board. Make sure it is connected straight and tight. Make sure all screws in the back are tight, just in case it is a grounding issue. Iff all checks out and you still have issues, replace your tuner.

I tried restoring the sound by pressing Muting on master volume. Auto Muting still appears on the display and I can't restore the sound.

"Auto Muting" is for FM reception only and means it will mute the FM audio unless the signal is strong enough to provide decent audio.

Re-evaluate your symptom and corrective actions for relevancy.

I have a new Onkyo TX-SR508 receiver. When listening to FM radio the audio cuts out repeatedly for anything from a few seconds to a minute. Power fluctuation is very unlikely to be the problem. Signal...

Does the display show "tuned" or "FM Stereo"? This would normally indicate a good reception. The tuner has a signal level threshold and if the signal gets to week, the receiver mutes to prevent noise in the speakers. Swithing to mono make reception less intolerant. Does the problem also occur, when you switch to mono?

Receiver does not recognize AM/FM signal.

From what I know all receivers need an antenna, there should be a connection in the back for one. Sometimes you can just use a piece of wire if you live in a large city.

I lost sound from my Denon AVR 682 last night. Display and video are coming fine, but no sound on any input source setting. I have also noticed that a loud click noise that used to come after turning it on...

Reseat all audio connectors sometimes they get dirty. Do you have surge protection? Do any other audio functions work? Clean your remote change the batteries the mute may be stuck. I vote for the battries being weak and the remote will not clearly send all signals.

Onkyo receiver model tx-8522

it may be muting due to a fluctuation signal. Do you have an appropriate aerial connected to the FM tuner?. a length of speaker wire pulled apart into a t shap for about 1m will do. Get a splitter and use you television antenne coscket to provide better signal for your tuner

I believe it's actually a firmware issue with the SIR-KEN1. I havethe same setup and have the same exact problem. I have to cycle thru my "SRC" button and get back to Sirius for it to work. Not a happy camper. I read on the Sirius Backstage forums about the firmware, although I have written Directed Electronics (SIR-KEN1 manufacturer) and never received a response.
