SOURCE: repairing 20mm af nikon lens diaphragm lock

I'll offer the same answer I just gave on a D200 question: With the lens off, look at the camera mount area. If you are looking straight at the mount, there is a small tab sticking out at about 7oclock on the outside edge of the mount ring. The tab is spring loaded and may be damaged. You should be able to push the tab toward the base of the camera and it will snap back if functioning properly. If it feels loose or doesn't spring back, then switch that ab controls is not being activated.

SOURCE: how to take handle off of Grohe Lady Lux Cafe-took screw out-handle is stuck

I soaked the connection between the handle and the valve body in a penetrating oil for several hours and eventually used more force than I hoped to use to remove the handle. Once the handle and end cap (part 09 209) were removed, I could see that the valve assembly (part 46 048) was loose which caused water to leak from the seals (part 46 209) between the valve assembly and faucet body. So I tighted the screws that hold the valve assembly to the faucet body and the leaked stopped.

SOURCE: I have a water pressure problem with a Grohe Lady Lux Cafe faucet

I solved the problem by unscrewing the part of the handle which attaches to the "pullout" braided cord. There was another strainer in there which has some debris which was blocking the water flow.

SOURCE: Kawasaki Vulcan VN400 carb diaphragm broken

If you are really stapped on cash napa auto parts has some heavy duty rubber spray. Just spray a thin layer over both sides of the diaphragm to repair any holes/tears and let dry overnight. My diaphragm was going to cost over $110 for one. It will still have full function and be even stronger than stock!

Diagram-Type Faucets

DIAPHRAGM-TYPE FAUCETS

  • The diaphragm faucet is washerless but is similar to washer-type faucets. A rubber diaphragm between the stem and seat creates a straight-down, frictionless close. As with washer-type faucets, diaphragm faucets have two handles.

  • Remove the stem by following the steps outlined for washer-type faucets. Instead of a washer on the end of the stem, you'll find a swiveling disc. If the rubber diaphragm doesn't come out with the stem, it is still inside the faucet.

  • If the diaphragm didn't come out with the stem, use pliers to peel it from inside the faucet and pull it out. Install a new diaphragm around the swiveling disc, then replace the stem in the faucet.

  • If the faucet is leaking around the stem, replace the stem's O-ring before reinstalling the stem.

Hello: My Grohe Lady Lux Cafe kitchen faucet has become loose where is it attached to the sink. How do I tighten it back up? David

You'll have to go under the sink and look up were the faucet comes through. You'll see it's held in place by a large nut. This nut needs to be tightened. Unfortunately working in the tight space under the sink is a pain in the ****, just be patient and you should be able to tighten it. TIP: Have someone hold the faucet on top in the position you want it.

1996 GMC Sierra with button actuated 4 wheel drive. When pushing button to "4 High" The light flashes then goes out and does not go into 4wheel drive. What could be the problem and were should I start...

I believe the 4 wheel drive is engaged by a vacuum actuator on this model. Look under the hood for a rubber "banjo-like" diaphragm that has a cable coming out of the middle of it. If I'm right, you'll find a tear in that rubber diaphragm. Post back if this doesn't work and I'll dig deeper. Check that first though.

How do I take my faucet off? It's a Grohe Lady Lux. We are trying to replace.

You need to remove the sprayhead and hose from faucet and underneath you will see a brass threaded tailpiece that the mounting nut is connected to you need to turn the threaded piece counter clockwise. The faucet came with a paddle handle tool that fits in the brass tailepiece but I have used a basin wrench carefully to loosen without damaging threads

Our Zodiac Barracuda pool cleaner isn't working

you may have a bad diaphragm inside the unit. Unthread the nut between the "wagon wheel" and the lower unit and remove it, push down on the white tube until it comes out of the bottom of the barracuda. Inspect the rubber diaphragm for debris and deformations. If the diaphragm has a large gap inside, it won't work properly. It needs to have only a small uniform gap, they can sometimes even look completely closed when they are new. Replacing the diaphragm will most likely make the unit run like new again.

Zodiac barracuda G3 isn't pulsing

These cleaners have a diaphragm inside that opens and closes that causes the unit to travel. If the diaphragm is bad, it will just stay still. Right above the handle there is a nut, separate the top part of the cleaner and you should see a white tube. Push that white tube downward and pull it out of the bottom of the unit. You should see the rubber diaphragm, check to see that it is free of debris and if it is distorted. The opening inside the diaphragm should look like a fairly uniform ****, not a huge gap. If it looks like there is a large opening inside, replacing it will make it run like new. Hope this helps.

Repair a Mackie SRM 450 Speaker The Speaker is making a crackling sound while playing. The sound keeps cracking up.

You probably need to replace the diaphragm. The diaphragm is located behind the back cap. Simply remove the back cap, remove the diaphragm, clean the voice coil gap with a piece of masking tape, install a new replacement diaphragm, reinstall the back cap. That it!
