Question about AnchorFree Expat Shield

Has EXPSHIELD stopped worked with the new BBC site?

This is what has happened to me. I get my UK IP, but still get recognised as an outside UK viewer.

I got bbc twice after the new iplayer was rolled out but then no joy. The only improvement is that the message telling you its only available in the UK is not as ugly as it was before. I've tried reinstalling expat-shield and tried switching to google chrome but no difference. Seems to be a general lack of noise about it on the web so far, not sure why ??

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How to tune a tv

Try the TV in a location where one of the other TVs works. That will show if it's a TV or a cabling issue.

It's entirely possible you have too much power in the aerial signal system. The mux carrying the BBC channels will be one of the strongest at each TV transmitter across the UK. This is because something like 96% of the UK mainland population must be able to receive at least the BBC and main commercial channels to fulfill the broadcasting requirements. Your old TV might not have been so sensitive. The new TV might be more sensitive. So the signal is overwhelming the digital tuner.

Try a variable attenuator. This will give you a power control to reduce the signal as it comes in the back of the new TV without upsetting the other TVs. The MA1620 on this page is perfect for this. http://www.satcure.co.uk/accs/page15a.htm

Why is BBC iPlayer not working via Expat Shield

I dont have a proper solution ,, sorry ,,i have the same problem since May 19th. From one day to the next ,, suddenly the bbc iplayer does not recognise my expat shield UK address ,, it keeps telling me "programmmes are not available in your area. But when i check on other sites where i am , my IP address is UK, and i can connect to itv player no problem. I have tried numerous times since then, and still no connection, i think Hotspotshield has done this deliberately,to force people to pay for the Elite service.I wrote to them (anchorfree) about this problem, but the answer is always about Hotspotshield ,,, they fail to recognise my question is about Expat shield,, useless support service.
Anyway my small solution at the moment is Hola unblocker(mozilla FF add on),, on some days it sticks a bit but most days it works fine

Whot is dns server

dns is the bit of ip which allows your computer (any computer at all) to find human style addresses. Computers have no understanding of www.bbc.co.uk That's human language for a web page for the bbc and a computer has no way to find it. The dns for www.bbc.co.nz is 208.73.211.152 and a computer definitely knows how to find that.

Since Saturday evening I have been unable to connect to BBC iPlayer using Expat Shield. It seems to be caught in a loop - waiting for server - starting VPN process - waiting for server - etc. and just...

If you're using Expat Shield that means you're not living in UK. BBC iPlayer work only when it recognizes an IP from UK so you have to set your software to an UK IP address, or use other IP hiding software.

What am I doing wrong? I have installed Expat shield. It says that it connect and says "Congratulations! Your session is now safe and secure with Expat Shield, world's only FREE VPN...

Expat Shield is for people trying to access UK programs from a non UK IP address. So not designed to work for you. You need something that gives you a US IP instead

Dir-601 wireless router isn't giving us internet connection. We are able to connect to the internet using only the modem directly.

Try
START
RUN
CMD
PING
192.168.2.1 or 192.168.1.1
if it works you have a connection to the router .
Now try
Ping bbc.co.uk if it works you have internet connection but cant find DNS SERVER. In this case;
START
CONTROL PANEL
NETWORK CONNECTIONS
RIGHT CLICK WIFI ADAPTER
choose PROPERTIES
select "this computer uses..."
INTERNET PROTOCOL (TCP/IP)
PROPERTIES
"OBTAIN INTERNET ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY" tick

also tick OBTAIN DNS AUTOMATICALLY
SAVE and Close network properties

REBOOT ROUTER and PC

recheck PING bbc.co.uk ...if successful ensure or use internet explorer

PC/IP address not recognised

the easiest solution to your dilemma, is to downlaod and install google's new chrome browser, from the site below. It is a great browser, fast and easy to use. http://www.google.com/chrome/index.html?hl=en&brand=CHMA&utm_campaign=en&utm_source=en-ha-na-us-bk&utm_medium=ha

After you have installed chrome you can always go back and tweak your old browser back to life, while still having a way to get online while you do. But if you are like me you will stick with chrome. best of luck to you and please rate this answer, thanks.
