Without seeing it, I would guess one of two things:
1. The seals inside the pump have failed, or
2. There is a crack in the pump.

hope this helps

My new pump leaks around seal plate

Leaking wet ends are a result of a bad shaft seal.Check to make sure it is installed properly or install a new shaft seal to prevent more leakage. If the motor runs and it will draw the leaking water into the motor and ruin your motor.Change the shaft seal as soon as you are able to prevent further motor problems.

Moter leaks when filtering

Is it leaking at the motor shaft or where the filter gasket and pump housing bolt together? If between the two housings, then it may just be a matter of tightening the screws that hold them together. If it is leaking around the shaft, you will need to replace the mechanical shaft seal.
To replace the seal you will need to remove the housings and then unscrew the impeller from the shaft. There is a slotted end on the other end of the motor shaft for screwdriver. This will hold the shart still while you unscrew the impeller. The shaft seal is a precesion part so be careful when replacing it.

Leaky water pump

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwV71h86Gxw
watch this video,it will show you how to get at the pump, very easy to do,if the pump has been leaking for a long time and it doesn't slide off of the motor shaft you have to break it off,use a hammer and a screw driver and hit the pump near the center, try not to hit it dead center because that's where the motor shaft is,it's around a 1/2 inch thick, when you crack the plastic from around the shaft then you can pull the pump off and then remove anymore plastic that might be stuck on the shaft, this only happens on machines that have been leaking for a long time, usually the pump slides right off the shaft and is very easy to change, put some towels down on the floor to catch some water and if there's water in the tub get a shop vac and vac out all the water, also when you disconnect the hoses off of the pump slide the hose off just enough for the water to come out and vac it up as it leaks out, this way you don't have a big mess.good luck with your washer.

Water pump doesn't work but there is no water leak it can be just a sensor problem?

No, but it could be the impeller inside the water pump, has come loose from the impeller shaft.

A leaking seal indicates that the bearing, or bearings, for the impeller shaft are bad.

I have replaced water pumps, (With a brand new one), and have had to remove it, and reinstall with another one.
Why?
Impeller is spinning around on the impeller shaft. The machining done was a bad job, and the impeller wasn't staked to the impeller shaft.

Punp leaking water think around barrins

You need to change your pump seal. It goes on the shaft of the motor as it enters the rear housing of the pump. If it has been leaking for a while, and started to get really loud you might want to replace the motor while you got it apart.

GE 24in GSD980X Dishwasher water leak in pump &motor area

I had the same problem. There is no way of replacing seal/joint between pump and motor. It can't be taken apart w/o destroying parts, it only comes as an assembly. Costs around 130$ for pump/motor assy, so it might not be worth it.

I ASSUME IT IS THE POWER STEERING PUMP YOU REFER TO GRIP THE PULLEY ON THE PUMP ENGINE OFF OF COURSE WIGGLE BACK AND FORTH SEE IF ANY LOST MOTION AROUND SHAFT IF SO REPLACE PUMP IF NOT DRY OFF ALL FITTING WITH DRY RAGS REFILL PUMP IF NEEDS FLUID ,RESTART CAR AND SEE IF YOU CAN DETERMINE WHERE LEAK IS COMING FROM , CAUTION IF YOU HAVE LOST MOTION AROUND SHAFT REPAIR @ IMMEDIATELY OR YOU STAND THE RISK OF DAMAGE TO MANY OTHER ITEMS IF IT GIVE IT UP

I have a coolant leak coming from the front of the engine. looks like it is leaking around the cam shaft pulley. The vehicle is a 2001 Nissan Frontier v6

Sounds like either the water pump or the thermostat housing. The water pump has a small hole in the bottom where the shaft comes through, when the water pump gets worn it will leak here so you know to replace the pump. The thermostat housing will be at the motor end of the upper radiator hose where it attaches to the motor. Hope this helps.
