SOURCE: icemaker want stop making ice

The quick answer is to turn the water off to the refrigerator so it quits making until you get it fixed.
If your fridge has the control boards in each side of the freezer cabinet that controls the icemaker, then you have a failed board.
If you have a standard icemaker with the metal shutoff arm then you have a failed motor module in the icemaker.
You can remove the icemaker and unplug the wiring connector from it so you can leave the water on to the dispenser.
Post back if you need instructions on reparing it.

SOURCE: Icemaker just stopped making ice

As these ice makers cycle there is an arm that moves up while the ice is being freed from the ice maker. After the ice is dumped into the dispenser bin the arm continues a downward motion. If it encounters ice in the downward travel it shuts the ice maker off. If this arm is locked in the full up position the ice maker is manually shut off. Check this arm and make sure it is not locked in the up position.

unfortunately it sounds like you have a broken tooth on the drive or driven gear of the ice maker, in this case you should replace the ice maker. The good news is that you can get a new one for about 85 bucks at your local appliance parts store.

Can this ice maker be set to make more ice? And faster?

Icemakers cycle cubes from the air temperature inside the freezer so you can't do much to increase speed except adjust the freezer control colder. As to the bucket not filling, most icemakers have a feeler arm or plastic paddle that is suppose to sense the ice level in the bucket. Make sure the feeler arm or paddle at the bottom is free and no sticking or hitting anything. It needs to move freely ask the icemaker dumps the cubes. If your refrigerator is less that a year old it should be under warranty and a free repair to you.

ICEMAKER MAKING TOO MUCH ICE. UNABLE TO CONTROL

Does your level control (the small bar that senses how much ice is in it) sit on top of the ice when it is overfilled or is it buried in it? If it's buried in it you most likely issue is the cam that is supposed to lift it out each time it drops the ice into the bin.

Another way to look at this is "Does the ice maker keep making ice when the level bar is pushed into the full up position?

My ice maker on my Kenmore Elite has stop making ice. The water still works, but it no longer will make ice. What can be wrong with it, and how can I fix it?

If the water flow works, I would check the wire that controls the water flow to the icemaker. It shuts off the water when the tray is full and fills the ice maker when it senses that more ice is needed. It typically is over the ice tray. This can be dislodged and reseating it will solve the problem.
Let me know if this doesn't solve the problem. Thanks.

Ice maker has stopped making ice.

If you look at the paddle , you'll see a spring just above it . Sometimes the top of that spring slips out of the hole in the housing . Use a smoll screwdriver and try to put it in place . If it seems ok , and the spring arn is pressed against the housing , replace the icemaker with an arm (mechanical) type icemaker . A paddle arm is an electronic (which I do not prefer ) .

Not making Ice

Best thing to do is make sure the paddle is free to move and not covered in frost. and if that doesn't work. Replace the Icemaker and you will be good to go.

Thanks,
