I got an Accu-chek (Active) blood sugar monitor as present but need instructions to operate it. Can you help

I need to know how to operate it. Please help

in the upper right somewhere, above the text box there are several (4) a tabs, click on the one that says 'HOW TO USE'. The box will re-appear with basic instructions in it. Please take note of the bold text underneath these instructions.
Or, on the page quoted above, along the top there is a strip with the words CUSTOMER SERVICE' on it just to the right of centre, before the search box. move your mouse to that box and a drop down menu will appear - select 'contact us' and contact accuchek support to ask for a user guide/reference manual to be sent to you if you do not have one. (the instructions for use will be in this booklet - consult that if you have one, it probably has illustrations)

Homedics makes several units that are virtually identical to the Walgreen counterparts. Why not try the Homedics web site? It has a support section. Be sure to list your model number as there are several wrist cuff models. If the web site doesn't help, either call Homedics or try a web search by listing your model number followed by 'manual'. I would have tried to find the manual for you but I don't know the model number. Good luck.

We're having consistently high readings with ours, too. We've compared it with as many as two other units at various test sessions.

From the manual:

All digital blood pressure monitors require recalibration in order to ensure continued accuracy.

This monitor does not require recalibration for 2 years under normal usage conditions (approx 3x/day), at which time your monitor will display "CA." The unit should also be recalibrated if the monitor sustains damage due to blunt force (such as dropping) or exposure to fluids or extreme hot or cold temperature changes.

To send monitor for recalibration, please ship to the address below with check or money order in the amount of $10 payable to HoMedics, Inc., for recalibration service, shipping and handling:

So, do we spend $10 plus postage and wait 3 weeks or more...or do we use the $10 toward a new one immediately at a Walgreen's a half-mile away? It's a nice unit and works well otherwise, so it's a quandry. I hate to toss it. Good luck.

if you have the blue/silver front version (and probably also if you have black version) of the meter, E-5 means
"The measurement optics are dirty or you

have inserted a test strip that has already

been used or is too old. Clean the

My glucometer Accu Check is giving me the error message E-5 and wont work


Since you didn't mention which model Accu Check Meter you have. E-5 means different things. In which case, I am going to direct you to a link, where you can find your Model and then discovery what the E-5 Error Message means.
