SOURCE: Denon DRW-585 dual-cassette deck makes clicking sound

There is an outside chance your tape cassett has a static charge. Tape in plastic case of cassette can build up significant electrical static which can partially discharge as tape is run. It can sound like random thumps, ticks, pops ect. Wrap cassette in a damp (not dripping wet) cloth, for several hours, then try again. This can also happen to the reels and drive rollers of the deck

SOURCE: Tascam 122MKII - press play no sound, meters don't move

Look for small leaver or any contact switches. They might have become bent out of shape or broken, or have dirt in them, cutting off the sound. Also check the leads coming from the head, they might have become detached or at least you can trace where they join the PC board. If you touch where they join you should get a buzz on either channel.

How do you hook up a Tascam 122 cassette deck to a receiver i tried to hook it up to my Nad 7155 receiver and no sound what am i doing wrong please help

cassette decks have line OUTPUTS. If it records there may be line inputs. Connect the OUTPUTS to the appropriate INPUTs on ur amp. Select the correct input on the amp. If it doesn't work u will need to verify the amp inputs work and that the tape outputs r active.
If so chg the cables.

How do i hook up my tascam 122 cassette deck to my Nad 7155 reciever i tried

The RCA outputs sockets on the 122 connect to either tape 1 or tape 2 "PLAY". on the Nad.
The Line In Jacks on the 122 connect to the record of tape 1 or tape 2 rec of the Nad.
If you connect it to tape 1 connect both to that.

To listen to the deck you select either tape 1 or 2 depending which you have connected it too.

My NAD 6040 Cassette deck keeps stopping after a few seconds when in play mode or rewind/forward mode...any solution to this.

The solution is to have a Technician work on it or fix it yourself if you have the ability. I work on decks 12-14 hours a day so this would not be hard to figure out. Probably a belt is due to be changed.

Nad 6220 cassette deck noise only on play back and meter readings are off the scale on all cassettes

Sounds like a dirty Record/ Play switch. You need to clean it with a spray like Deoxit and exercise it.

RUBBER DRIVE BELT FOR A360 FOR TEAC CASSETTE DECK

Drive belts on tape decks are mostly universal. You only need to measure the diameter of each belt in mm and then enter the result in Google as "Cassette drive belt ??mm".

My cassette deck Onkyo model Ta 2060 is working slowly

HELLO

By the fault you describe this sounds very much like a belt problem. Take the case off the deck and check the belt(s). Some decks can use more than one belt and you need to look at their condition.

Are they too slack around pulleys maybe? Belts don't last forever and I'm not too sure of the age of your deck. But personally, I would change them all.

Make sure the tape path is clean as well, clean heads, pinch roller and capstan.

You will need a service manual for that model. Task not recommended for novice -- take to pro/tech
