SOURCE: My canon ip1880 printer orange light flashing 7 times.

1. Press power button while plug in the power cord – green lamp.
2. While hold the power button press resume button twice – orange blink and return to green.
3. Release the power button, Then the PC will recognize new printer install.
4. You need the software for permanent reset.
5. Run the software and select printer port.
6. Then select Set Destination
7. Click MAIN and PLATEN button to reset waste ink counter to zero.
8. Finally test print by click TEST PATTERN button.

SOURCE: Canon i950 flashing orange green orange green

Start with the printer OFF

1. Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER
2. Release RESUME
3. Press RESUME twice, then release POWER
4. Let green light blink until printer is done futzing

Select function with RESUME press POWER to execute:
presses - light color - function

Number of presses - light color - function
0 presses - green - Test print (or exit service mode on i960)
1 press - orange - EEPROM info print (plus grid nozzle diagnostic on i950)
2 presses - green - EEPROM initialize
3 presses - orange - Reset waste ink counter

SOURCE: i put in a new ink and my canon ip4500 came up

It has not detected the cartridges correctly or it has a waste ink problem, not sure which. Are they genuine Canon carts? I hope this helps will you let me know how you get on please?
reseat all the cartridw0zz_3.jpgges and read the attached which should work with the 4300 (thanks also to tech1569 for this)

When I turn my mp230 it just flashes the Green on buttom and goes back in forth with the orange triangle for 22 times and then it pauses in the Green light for a few seconds and it repeats itself

My canon printer does not copy a page MX250 the triangle Orange light comes on .


There must be Error no. in the triangle orange light.. please identify the error No. ...... and send back.... Let me give you a solution after error no proof...thanks

Both lights are blinking and will not print


they call that flash codes or error codes. please count
count how many times the lights flash, here is what they mean

Alarm / Power light flashes orange 7 times consecutively (ink cartridge installed incorrectly)

Alarm / Power light flashes orange 5 times consecutively (Print Head Error)

Alarm / Power light flashes orange 4 times consecutively (Out of Ink Error)


Alarm / Power light flashes orange 3 times consecutively (Paper Jam Error / Cover Error)

Alarm / Power light flashes orange 2 times consecutively (Load Paper / Paper Feed Error)

Alarm / Power light flashes orange 16 times consecutively (This FINE Cartridge has previously been used)

Alarm / Power light flashes orange 15 times consecutively (FINE cartridge not recognized)
