Question about Nortel T7316 Executive Business Phone Nt8b27aabb W/ Handset
Hi, I called my house at 10am. The call was transfered to the kitchen. Nobody picked it up so I hung up. The phone still shows as if the line is busy on the extension where the call was taken. If someone calls my house, they get a busy signal. If I try to make a call, I get a no free lines message. I disconnected the phone and it didnt work, Please help me.
Unplug all the phones in the house, or go out to the NID (network interface device) on the outside and disconnect the "line" from the "network". It should have a standard modular plug. You should be able to plug a regular phone into that jack and see if the line has cleared. Chances are there's a phone in the house that's partially off-hook.
