Question about Plano Molding Plano 3750 Tackle Box

Open Question

How do I prevent the lid from popping open after I have loaded up the box and try to transport it?

Love the box but when it's fully loaded with my tackle the lid won't latch securely enough to stay closed under load.

The above comment is complete and utter nonsence !
Here's what you do . Take the lid off , take off the top of the cd transport marked "CD 1 Low Jitter Compact Disc Transport" held on with 2 screws , rince it under warm water (its made of plastic) and refit . Its a build up of dust . Yoy will have to do this every 2-3 years . P.S Leave on "stand-by" because you will do more damage to the circuit boards by cutting the power continually .

Why does my gas tank lid keep popping open

Sometimes the lid, where it catches the latch, will bend slightly causing it to not latch fully. You may try to see what catches and try to lightly bend it some.
Also check the latch to see if its stuck a bit.

How do I replace the battery on my 2004 pt cruiser?

Steps to replace the battery

Air Cleaner Removal

1. Loosen the air intake hose clamp (with a flathead screwdriver), which holds the intake tube to the air box lid.

2. Once the hose clamp is loosened, pop open the two spring-loaded clamps on the left and front side of the air box. The clamps help secure the lid to the air box. On the back of the air box lid there are 4 plastic slots, which match up with 4 corresponding tabs on the air box. In order to unhinge the lid from the air box, slide the lid away from you about an inch and gently lift the lid up. Ensure that the lid is free from the air box hinge; then carefully disconnect the air intake hose from the lid at the hose clamp and remove the lid from the engine compartment.

3. Lift the air filter out of the air box. 4. Disconnect the PCV hose from the lower air box.

5. The lower air box is removed by just tugging straight up on it. It will pop out as it's held in place by two rubber pins that wedge into the indentations in the plastic air box.

Battery Removal

6. Disconnect the battery terminals - negative 1st, the positive. 7. Remove the anchor bolt at the base of the battery using a 1/2" socket. 8. Lift battery out (with a battery carrier strap). Save the thermal blanket wrap to slip on the new battery.

Cleanup and Installation

9. Clean the terminals by dipping in a cup filled with baking soda and warm water. Use a battery terminal cleaning tool, wire brush to remove the corrosion or a tiny screw driver to scrape with. Rinse with water and clean up the tray with a towel.

10. Install the thermal blanket on new battery. Note the position of the notches on the blanket when replacing it. Lift into car and slide the battery as much as possible towards fender. Reinstall retaining bolt.

11. Install felt washers ($1) to prevent corrosion on the terminals

12. Reinstall terminals (positive 1st, then negative). Apply some grease or Vaseline to the tops of the terminals.

13. Reinstall air cleaner box. Carefully line it up and push down Make sure to seat it completely when you reinstall it.

14. Reinstall filter; cover. Make sure clips are on tight.

Thank you for using fixya and good luck

My Roper Washer RTW43405Q0 won't spin.

For the washer to operate the lid must be fully closed, the timer must be pulled out, and the water must be drained.
The main causes for not spinning are:
  • Lid partially or completely open
  • Lid or other object has hit the timer knob and turned the washer off
  • Lid not locked (by the way, not on all washers) and may be not draining.

Make sure the lid is completely closed. Make sure that no clothing is in the lid area.

Make sure the Timer knob is pulled out.
The lid must be closed and locked for the washer to operate. Once the lid is closed, make sure the desired cycle is still selected and then press the Start button and listen for the lid to lock.
Make sure there are no loose metal objects such as coins and paper clips in the lid opening area. Metal objects can prevent magnetic switches from reacting correctly when the lid is closed.

If the washer has not drained, it will not go into spin.
    Hope this works.....

THE TRAY WILL NOT COME OUT, ALTHOUGH I CAN HEAR IT TRYING. CLEARLY HARDWARE, BUT WITH IT APART, IT STAYS MOVING ONLY AN INCH & I SEE NOTHING TO STOP IT.

You can remove the top and then the front. Now the mechinism is now fully exposed. Check the loading belt. It may be too loose.

Had problem with boot lid popping open when driving itpopped open today and i closed it and locked car when i opened car again the boot lid will not open

Same thing happened on my Focus. I suspected dirt had been preventing the boot from fully locking. A generous application of WD40 on the locking mechanism located on the boot seems to have resolved the problem.

My whirlpool dishwasher soap dispenser is apparently not opening during cleaning. I find dirty dishes and clumps of soap in the hopper. Whirlpool quiet partner II

I bet your clumps of soap began with the beginning of the use of a different DW detergent powder.

Try this (trust me) Go buy a box of brand name Dishwasher powder (e.g. Electrosol or Cascade) Use it for two loads of dishes and report your results back here. OK?

    Washing machine makes beeping noise

It sound like a lid switch problem .A defective lid switch will notice of an open door when actually door is physically closed, and will prevent washer's spining and function at all. The switch located inside the machine near the door frame. You should open the top panel (open 2 screws and then slide it out) and you will have an access to it . You can test it by multi-meter (it is an on/off switch). In case of a deffective switch, it should be replaced. Be aware that you should remove machine's power cable before starting your test !!!! Good luck !!!
