When I turn on my computer a screen pops up. On this screen it gives me the option to "strike f1 to retry boot, f2 for setup utility." After I strike f1 the computer starts up normally. While it is starting up I strike f8 to repair my computer, BUT WAIT I do not have the repair my computer option. The options are in order as follows.
Safe Mode With Networking
Safe Mode With Command Prompt
Enable Boot Logging
Enable VGA Mode
Last Known Good Configuration
Directory Services Restore Mode
Disable Automatic Restart On System Failure
Start Windows Normally
Return to OS Choices Menu
Please help me, I have tried everything, but nothing seems to work.
You might want to try going into setup and setting your boot drive options to DVD drive as your 1st, HD as 2nd and Floppy as 3rd. Put your windows disk in the DVD before boot and run the program from DVD.

I understand your frustration. Do you have a "recovery cd "(Operating system disc) ,which came along with your computer . if you have the same please, put the disc in the CD drive and restart the computer. you need to select boot from cd option and then follow the on screen instruction.
*you can get the "recovery cd"from your computer manufacturer.( call Dell customer care)
When its a computer that is using the windows XP you wont have that option .. Its a different option to restore to the factory settings
Use the following things Dell has a default partition on the computer and you can install with the same.. If you have windows vista on the computer then tap F8 when the computer turns on and then you will be able to see the advanced boot options.. Select repair my computer.. In the repair my computer screen select the dell factory image restore... Your computer will go through the installation and it will be up and running... If you have windows Xp then you have to turn on the computer and when the dell logo appears you have to simultaneously press control and the F11key.. You will be able to reinstall the OS in this way..
If you are not able to get into this option then there might be no restore partition availlable In that case you have to reinstall using the disc
