T.V is having a stroke!!

I seemed to have a similar problem, the digital array was way off, and I kept reading about repairing the circuit board and being a convergence problem... them I notice the plug was in the wall socket all the way. Plugged the tv in all the way, and haven't had a problem since.
I would check your wall plug first.

Your television has a common problem called convergence
mis-alignment.The fix involves remove / repair the circuit board
with the convergence IC's on it.The labor involved is average in difficulty for a skilled technician, with total cost dependent
on the quality of parts installed = usually about 400.00.......T.

i typically charge $350 for this repair. i would assume im about average on this type of repair

Regarding best solution above. I agree whole-heartedly. I tried the magic focus feature a number of times, got a number 4 at the conclusion of it and was still getting the yellow arc from the top of the screen and blue and yellow shadowing. I then turned everything off, and unplugged and reconnected all the plugs and connections and it now looks fine. Hopefully, I just saved myself a $450 repair fee. PS, we bought our HIT 53UDX10BA in April '02.
