Put together Endless Summer model 160010 many tears ago only to discover NOT propane. Never used - now have natural gas outlet and will not light ( neither pilot nor main burner) Been on deck summer and...

line could be plugged try clearing , or you could have air in the line which would take ages to come out as pilot is very small , best to purge gas line of air then try and relight

Pilot light, lights but go's out when control knob is turned fully round after a short period of time to allow thermocouple to work. Is this a sign that the thermocouple is not wroking.

yes the thermocouple is most likely bad replace it very inexpensive to replace. if the tip is all black with carbon then it's time. if still no pilot then look into gas valve replacement. honestly it's summer where i am when i had a furnace that required a pilot i would turn off the gas in the summer time to the furnace saving about 10 bucks a month on my gas bill the standing pilot system uses gas all of the time so if it is warm no need to use a good rule of thumb just repale thermocoulper every two years

I have a full tank of propane - my pilot light is sparking but it will not light? Any ideas on what to check? Thank you, Korby

Korby, I think you meant, your ignitor is sparking and you're not getting gas to the pilot. Since you have a full tank of propane, I can rule out that the tank is empty. However, I believe the tank or at least the tank valve is playing a role in this.

Turn the tank valve completely OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Turn the tank valve ON VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow Motion, slow) until the valve is fully open. Then light the pilot as you normally would. If the pilot lights, you solved the problem. If it didn't, either the pilot light is clogged and needs to be cleaned or the heater's hose/regulator assembly needs to be replaced.

Endless Summer Patio Heaters are made by Blue Rhino. So, if you need parts, that's where you can get them. Hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

The pilot seems to light but then when I turn the knob to ignite the main burner, the pilot goes out. Is there a technique to clean the igniting assembly?

let the pilot light burn for a few min and get hot after this try slowly moving the knob over to full burn. Sometimes it just need to heat up.

The pilot light will light but not stay on when the knob is turned

Sounds like Pilot not playing on the thermocouple or the thermocouple is faulty

I have an Endless Summer (Blue Rhino) patio heater with model number 153100 and the pilot flame is not strong enough to keep the thermal coupling open. What has to be done to fix that?

The pilot jet may be clogged. If there is a flame, it must be small and blue. A large flame that is orange or yellow tipped means that there is a partial blockage in the pilot assembly which needs to be cleared. The pilot flame must also touch the thermocouple in order to heat it correctly. Make sure that the pilot jet and thermocouple are positioned correctly. If you have an extremely small pilot flame, try repalcing the regulator and hose as the regulator may be failing.

Burner will not light. With the pilot light burning and the gas is turned-on to ignight the main burner the pilot light goes out.

call aservice tech your pilot light might be blocked therefore the pilot flame might not be strong enough to handle the puff of gas when the gas valve opens ps. if the unit is off in the summer spiders are usually the problem. Hope this helps
