No remote for sylvania tv dvd combo how can I adjust color etc

Hello, Tom -

If you choose not to purchase a universal remote control to use with your Sylvania TV, you can probably use the buttons along one side of the TV screen to adjust the color and whatever other aspects you wish to adjust.

First, you will need to turn the TV on by pressing the Power or On/Off button for the TV. Then you will need to figure out what the other buttons on the side of the TV do. If you have the owner's manual refer to that.

Without knowing the model number of your Sylania TV, I cannot find an owner's manual for you and give you the specific directions. If you wish, using the Edit feature, you can add the model number of your Sylvania TV so I or someone else can better help you.

I have a Sanyo Flatscreen, the original remote was lost. Now when I turn on the TV the picture is to big to fit. HOW do I adjust it without the remote?

use the menu button on the side of the tv
that brings up the screen menu
using the channel and volume buttons move around until you find aspect ratio
find the one that fits the screen and press the menu button to save and exit
it could be a pixel setting so find pixel settings while the menu is on the scree and adjust to the correct pixel setting
there are plenty of remotes for tv units on e-bay
all you have to do is select one that is for sanyo led/lcd tv's and read the details to see it it works your model tv

Not all universal remotes control all functions of a particular device. A different universal remote might work as the code libraries differ from one to another.

How to adjust color without remote

If your TV has a 'Menu' button on its front panel, you can enter its menu using it, and come towards picture adjustment window, and can change the intensity of color. If there is no such button on its front panel, you must have its remote control to do this.

Overscanning Issue

Hi, I am sorry you are having a problem with the video being zoomed in on your TV. If your DISH remote works the volume and power on the TV then try selecting the "*" (star) button under the number 7 on the remote. This is a format button that will reformat the TV picture and you can find the one that works best for you. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please email me. Thank you!
