No power, fuse or circuit board bad?
SOURCE: sudden death of the range hood
Did you measure the continuity of the primary and secondaries of the transformer which drops the line voltage to supply the front panel? Any chance you could scan and post the "mini-manual" that comes inside the unit? I repair just about any kind of control board / system out there, in case you might be interested. My listing is here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

The circuit board that we use to replace the old ones are a new generation of circuit boards. To this day i have never had to replace a circuit board that i had already replaced, and beleive me i replaced a fair share.

Hi shealy,
I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.
Your problem is: This hood worked fine until a light bulb blew out. Put in a new light bulb, but the lights will not turn off. Is the light switch bad or is there a problem with the control panel? The fan still works fine but the lights will not turn off or adjust dim or bright.
You're on the right track. The light control switch needs replacing. You might try utilizing the Repair Directory to find a repairman. If you have the tools and ability just remember to turn off the electric first.

The motors will go bad from time to time. I would check Broan's web site

Had same problem & fuse fixed it.
Before buying a new control board (approx $160), check the 3 amp fuse located on the inside of the vent on the control board. You have to take the light/bottom housing & black plastic air chute off to see control board/fuse.
