Lost my ZTE valet. Want to stop it. Have serial number, original packing, all MY identification information, representative can tell who I am, calling from my home, but won't disconnect the phone, BECAUSE I CAN"T REMEMBER THE PHONE NUMBER> Now I am angry because if someone does something wrong when using MY phone the D government might blame me, ARREST ME!!! I had not started to use the phone other than activate it and add minutes because the thing ZTE is so complicated for this stressed out old care-giver I didn't even give my phone number to anyone yet.WHAT AN IGNORANT RULE!! OF couse I can prove who I am !!!How can I get this phone deactivated?

The service provider does have access to the unlock codes for the phones. There are companies and programs that you can get that will give you the code, but these charge a fee usually. Try this, tell them you are traveling to another country and want to use a local sim card. Since this is a prepaid phone they should give you the unlock code anyway, you paid full price for the phone and they are legally obligated to provide you with it in most cases.
