Question about Epson Aculaser C1100 Printer
I need a epson Aculaser Y Dev unit
The Y toner cartridges are still being produced by Epson. However not many stores in UK stock them. They are readily available on eBay. You will have a choice of originals or compatibles, and a choice of standard or high capacity cartridges.
I normally stick to originals, and pay around 20 UK pounds for standard and 40 UK pounds for high capacity ones.
Compatibles are about half of those prices, but I have found wide variation in quality.
If you are not using a lot, then originals are preferable.
Let me know if I can be of further help

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: Worn K Dev Unit - can I get service for the CX11NF in the Greater Vancouver BC area?
I understand that Quebec may far from where you're located at having a service manual is practical but risky. It may do damage than make better. What I'm try to say is you choose to use the service manual or send it for service. Nothing can replace the hand of an expert and experience in handling such a valuable piece.

Hi there
This suggests a fuser error. This is the hot unit at the rear top of the machine.
Steps are as follows:-
1. Open COVER FUSER.
2. Draw out the COVER RH boss from the hole on COVER FUSER while pushing
COVER RH outward, and remove COVER FUSER.
After removal check coninuity across heater lamp amd thermistor terminals. If either shows anyhing more than 13 Ohms then you need to replace your fuser unit.
Anything more than that requires hands on technical expertise.
Good luck

SOURCE: printer shows worn dev unit what is this please
The dev unit (developer) is the part that the ink toner cartridge fits into, one for each colour (K-black, C-cyan, Y-yellow, M-magenta). Two things wear out on dev units, the bearings at each end of the developer roller or the roller itself. The roller is made of metal and is magnetised so a thin film of toner sticks to it, the magnet is recharged by electrical "rubbing" contacts inside the printer as the drum rotates. Gradually the contacts rub away and so the roller loses its magnetism, this will be noticed by an increasing amount of toner being spilled inside the printer. The roller bearings speak for themselves, gradually the roller will become more & more difficult to turn smoothly and so the toner will not be evenly distributed. The only way to fix this is to replace the worn dev units although cleaning the contacts will help to preserve their life.

SOURCE: Epson Aculaser C2600 Service code E144
This is a Transfer Belt Error - "Worn Out".
This is not a consumable item. Have had to contact Epson direct who have arranged for a service engineer to replace the offending item.
