Please check the Backlight in BIOS. To go to BIOS, restart your system and start tapping the F2 key. Check if the backlight is fine or not. IF not , you need to get the LCD replace.

User password, power on password, bios password, windows logon password? There are many and you need to be specific in order to go in the right direction.
