When it still won't solve the problem you go to the ir circuit on the set. the reason may be because of the accumulation of the dust and dirt on the buttons.

Membrane is not responding to your commands; a very delicate operation to repair. Since"cool" lite is not responding that is the first thing, regardless of where other settings are at. Change other settings one at a time and see if the cool button will respond.................bob
try to unplug lcd and touch from board and plug again, maybe this solve the problem, if persist you need to change it buying new one. (to dissambl and ressembly see videos on you tube), i think this will help you to solve the problem, Don't forget rate my answer.

That means you have a bad digitizer. When the screen was changed so was your digitizer which is a part of the touchscreen on the back. When your glass was changed so was the digitizer which is attached to it. You a new touchscreen...
double check that both cable/ribbons are connected properly to the motherboard, the small thin ribbon which curls over the top of the motherboard is the one which powers and reads the touch screen so double check this!!
if this is all in fine then im sorry to say your touch screen is broken and will need replacing!
