the reflector on the new bulb must be the same length/height.
or your beam will be off center normally causing gray areas.
Most likely you did not seat the tray/carrier correctly
be certain the lamp is seated fully.
never touch the lamp with fingers as the oil will make hot spots.
pull out re-seat the tray again.

SOURCE: mitsubishi wd-52628 flashing green timer light

If the power/timer led is the one blinking constantly
the most likely problem is two 3300 mfd caps and 1 to 8 1000mfd caps on the power board.
could be the DM board or caps on it as well.

SOURCE: I got a replacement lamp for Mitsubishi WD-52628.

Hi,did you close the door cover? Reset the lamp
timer? you can do this by unpluging the set for 5 min
and plug it back(works for most sets). Check the fan
was running ok? You can clean it w an air pressure
can. If you heard clicking or like wanting to turn on the problem could be with the board that powers the lamp. The board it's called the ballast. If its not able
to provide the power to the lamp it will not turn it on and the red light will blink.

Your color wheel is bad. Thats the only thig that controls color on the DLP projections. You will need to replace it But I would check the connections on it first to make sure the connections are secure. Let me know if you require more assistance.
