SOURCE: I KEEP GETTING A dE

you will need to replace the door sensor, this error will appear until it has been replaced. it is inside the unit and pretty much hard to get to if your not familiar with workin on it. take it to an LG tech or some one whos familiar with it..........

good luck LG's are very sensitive.

SOURCE: Dead LG WF-T8016TP washing machine

Well I found the problem - fuse had blown.

There is a circuit diagram on the back of the washer that allowed me to locate the fuse. Take off the rear top plastic panel (behind the folding lid) by removing the two screws on the back. Inside close to the power cord you will find a fuse holder and an in-line ceramic fuse, 125V 12A. I checked mine for continuity and it had blown (as to why, I don't know yet - maybe the motor drew too much current with a large wash load?) - anyways, I replaced the fuse and everything works now!

This is probably a lid cover open protection. Check to see if there is a magnet on the cover, positioned almost to centre (slightly to the right) at edge of the cover. There is some sort of plastic catch to house the magnet. If it is not there, place a magnet at the corresponding area on the washer where the plastic catch will touch when the lid cover close.

My washer model is WF-T85B31EC. When I want to use it, the water will fill and when it is ready to start operation (ie spin or wash), the "dE" sign was on. I know it means that the lid is opened....

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

'de' does indeed stand for Door (lid) Error. There is likely to be a problem with either the lid solenoid/lock or the 'lid closed' sensor becoming apparent with the extra movement of starting/filling requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest. Sorry ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

There is a small magnet at the front of the lid that triggers the door error, mine was corroded and the lg people wanted $80 for a service fee.. Ha I went to my local hobby shop and got a small earth magnet and some super glue $1.50 later and she's fixed.. tadAaa.
