Write error

I got a samsung sc dc173 dvd camcorder whenever i press the record button it says WRITE ERROR TO RECOVER PRESS ERROR. when i did it and tried to record again nothıng happened it doesnt record. by the way i have DVD-R.

I have the same problem

I know someone who can solve this problem

I have the exact same problem. I thought perhaps I got a bad batch of dvds. The 3rd tape from that batch was okay but I cannot finalize the disc, it says "disc error". There is also a spot on the dvd where the frame just freezes and I cannot ffwd beyond it, the cacmcorder sounds like it is struggling. I can go to the menu, select the frame after it and rewind but I cannot get past the 1 1/2 minute spot.
The guy at radioshack thinks it is the minicam and not the tape.
I don't know.

I have the same camera and the same problem. Can't figure out how to solve it. Even replaced the lithium battery.

I think i just figured it out. Somewhere else on the web clued me in that the disc got messed up (don't know how). I put in a new disc and it works. Other disc still doesn't though.
