Sorry, there's no way to repair the CD, if faulty. Try looking for a "reset" a VERY tiny hole somewhere behind the "door", on the face of the radio chassis...Using a paper clip end push into the tiny hole for a few seconds, ignition/radio on...If you can't find a reset...take it to a friendly local car stereo shop and ask them to diagnose the problem ($40).
Good Luck

Some Panasonic stereo's don't like non shop bought, home burnt discs (they are recorded at a different level) so try new discs plus run a CD laser cleaner through your system.

I need a wiring harness for a panasonic cq-c700u

Hi and thank you for using fixya:

For the wiring harness you can go to an electronic store and give the model of your radio they will tell you which one is it. Or try any online electronics retailer

Bought a car with a panasonic fx220n cd player fitted. The cd player keeps playing after the ignition is turned of, is it wired up incorectly

yup. There are two power inputs, one unswitched so the deck can remember presets, and one switched so it will turn off when you turn off the ignition.

Either someone hooked both power inputs to 12v+ unswitched, or they've hooked the two up backwards.

There should be a red and a yellow wire on the unit. Typically Red is the switched power input, and yellow is unswitched.

I HAVE PANASONIC CQ-C700U STEREO PLAYS ON ALL

are you running the rest of your speakers off an amp? if so, it sounds like you have the amp remote wire connected to the power antenna wire. on some radios there is an amp remote wire and a power antenna wire. the power antenna wire loses power when not listening to the tuner (radio). usuall there is a solid blue and a blue with white stripe. the blue with a white stripe should be amp turn on.

No sound from CQ-1305U car CD/stereo

You may have one of this two problems:
One of the speaker wires is grounded to the chassis.
Or your car may have a factory amplifier between the radio and the speakers.
My suggestion is to rewire the speakers lines
