How does the brush turn. I don't see how it turns unless it is fused together.

SOURCE: My vacuum wont turn on.
It sounds like you may have a faulty on/off switch. I suggest if you are not familiar with electricity please have someone that you know "is" to do the following. "UNPLUG" your vacuum and disconnect thee white wire coming out of the on/off switch. With a volt meter dial the meter to OHM's and hold one lead to the disconnected wire coming out of the switch and with thee other lead from the meter touch the metal housing of the motor. Click the on/off switch and if the numbers zero out your switch is good if the numbers on the meter stay the same chances are your on/off switch is bad. If the switch is good then the cost for a new motor is more than a new vacuum. Good luck

I just fixed mine. It took me all of 10 minutes. Pull the brush out. Stand the brush on end on the edge of your study work bench/table top. while holding the brush vertical( on end) take a small phillips screwdriver and tap using a hammer on the metal pin you see in the middle of the brush. Keep tamping and the whole assembly will come apart. What you will have then is a long metal shaft, 2 bearings(they are acutally skateboard wheel bearings same number same make). Clean the gobbed up hair with a razor blade and then reassemble by tapping back together. The bearing wont be worn out because they are way too tough for a vaccum. We used ride down hills on them! a ten minute fix wow and you wont have to drive to vacuum shop and spend $$ and time

SOURCE: No suction in upright vacuum.
it could be the filter or on this unit, one of the other 2 filters. The most common overlooked filter on this unit is the filter in the pull out tray under the bagless container. I would suspect that is the culprit cutting off your suction. Pull it out and wash the filter, wash the other 2 filters in your unit as well. Warm water and soap, little bit of bleach to kill the smell and LET THE FILTERS DRY BEFORE PUTTING THEM BACK INTO THE UNIT. I cannot stress that part enough.
