Question about Panasonic PT-50LC13 50" Rear Projection HDTV
When the TV is turned on, it sounds like it is going to work and then it automatically powers off. Does this sound like a common problem with this type. It is a PT-51HX40B. The year it was manufactured was August 2000. I have a repairman coming to the house on 6-24-09. He said that he has did some research and read something about some type of caps? going bad. Any words of wisdom? I've had great luck with this tv without problems and would like to repair it if possible.
What he may be referring to is caps to stop the coolant from leaking on the curcuit board. One time I had to put a drip pan in my set to stop the overflow. Expect a $300-$450 bill.
