The MTS section does not come up on the menu either. I thought that was only for stereo versions of the 20920, was not sure that mine was stereo. Why don't these come up on menu ?

Can I connect a 3.5mm audio cable from my TV to this JVC RX705V receiver?

So if you're trying to amplify the sound coming out of your TV to an amplifier you need to connect the output on the back of your TV on the receiver to the end audio input on the back of your receiver you might need different types of connections on each end but as long as you take the output on the TV and input it into your receiver your receiver will amplify the sound another way you could do it is to go inside the TV and connect two wires off of each of the two wires of each speaker leaving the internal speakers connected and then plug them in to the audio inputs on your receiver also if you're using one of the audio outputs on TV make sure you go into the menu and tell it you're using external speakers Good Luck Chuck

Where can I find parts for a JVC C-1455CA tv?

Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Telefunken TLC037fhda no sound picture good

take a look at the speaker, use a multimeter see if the speaker have the rated resistance.( eg .8 ohms) if speaker bad replace if.if speaker good. see if your audio amp is getting power (multimeter needed) set to d.c volts.have voltage then look for the input pin that brings audio into the amp,use a 16 -32 ohms speaker across gnd pin and input pin(bring volume up hi on tv) if audio replace audio amp.
(also look for cold solder) on p.c board before replacing amp.

No sound from the audio speakers

by audio speakers i assume you mean speakers that you plug INTO the tv, some tv's if you plug in speakers they play instantly but some tv's you might have to go under the menu ON the tv so just bring up menu, click on audio, and it should say some where to swith to external speakers then while with speakers pluged in select external speaker (or whatever your tv might say) and i hope that solves your problem, thank you, jamie.

First of all, it is bad form and potentially dangerous to be changing cables with speaker power ON. Second, IS the unidentified TV passing audio out those jacks? Its own audio menu and controls may be between the sound and the jacks.

You may have to set a speaker preference for the TV. Look in the Audio section of the Setup menu to see if you can turn off the TV speakers and route the output through the jacks
