Hisense 32k20dw backlight not powering on. Power supply good

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

Some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement.

Does a solid green light mean the power supply is ok when disconnected from motherboard and drives, ATX-300-12Z

Not necessarily. The green light usually just signifies power to the power supply. Amazon sells a cheap power supply tester that can verify everything on a power supply from old to new.

Do you hear any fans? You may need to open the computer case and look inside to see if you have any led's or fan's functioning. If you do not see any lights on the mother board or working fans, check the fan inside the power supply by looking through the fan guard. If you do not see the power supply fan working, make sure you have the computer plugged into a live outlet, and the power cord is good. Furthermore, look for a switch on the back of the power supply to make sure it is switched to the on position. If you still have no working functions of the computer, go to a computer store like Comp USA or Best Buy and purchase a power supply tester which you may find for under ten bucks. Touch the metal case of the power supply while removing the main power connector of the mother board. Always touch the metal case of the supply to discharge any static, or you could cause immediate or future damage from weakened static sensitive components. Plug the power connector into the power supply tester and make sure all lights light up. If no lights light up, you can check the fuse on the supply if it is external, or you will have to open the power supply to check the fuse. Alternatively, you can buy a new power supply which you will need to do if some of the lights on the power supply checker light up.

If the fans work on the computer and the power led's work then you may have a bad video cable connection, video card, or monitor, which will need to be checked individually. If you hear any beeps, check your manual for the description of the number and duration of the beeps which will indicate bad video or memory sticks.

I hope this helps but you can reply if you have any other questions. I think it could be the power supply with all the storms this time of year which could have killed the Power Supply which is easily replaceable.

Computer will not turn on....how do I check to see if power supply is faulty? I have power supply removed and have a tester to check for dc voltage etc

I just went through a heap of troubleshooting with power supply issues before swapping psu's and finding this was the solution to my problem. Had a closer look at my psu that was faulty, the green light was flashing on the psu, unplugged all components and thought that I now had a non-flashing green light on my psu, on closer inspection the light was actually flashing very fast so appeared to be an almost solid light...the psu was stuffed so replaced it and no more issues. If your power supply has a green light check to see if it is flashing when plugged into voltage with nothing connected to it. If it is a solid light then it is probably ok.

Three red lights flashing

Well mainly it is down to overheating, and as you play your games the motherboard flexes ever so slightly and the soldering snaps off and that is when you are left with the red lights of doom.

Step 1: Turn on the console, and check the light on your power supply
The power supply light is located on the black box that is in the middle of your power cord.

Step 2: If power supply light is green, try this solution

Step 3: If the power supply light is red, is orange when the console is powered on, or is not lit, try these solutions:

Solution A: Unplug your console, plug it into a different outlet in a different room, and then turn it on
This will help determine whether the problem is with your power supply, your power outlet, or your console.

Solution B: Request a replacement power supply
If the power supply light is still red, orange, or not lit, the problem is with your power supply. Contact Xbox Support to obtain a replacement power supply.

Good luck!

Check fuses mounted near transformer . If blown check output transistor. Also check transistor transistors on small heat sink . they will cause fuse to blow.
