SOURCE: remote is not communicating with console. New

When you put new battery in remote you must re sync the remote with the system. To do this you need to take off the back of the remote then push the red button.Their is a red button on the system that you need to push at the same time. This button is in the front or side compartment of the system. After pushing both buttons push the a button on the remote.Do this for all remotes. You my have to do this a few times to get it to sync.

Just a sample look for a number on the device which may be under a cover.

As its software controlled they do need to reset themselves as to how long this takes varies from machine to machine.

Hope this helps

Wii remote keeps losing communication with the main unit

It sounds like your sensor bar is going out. I have heard from numerous people that they go bad and start acting very sporadic( somedays they work and somedays they don't) Also check to make sure your bar is sitting level on your T.V. and not pointing up or down. If it is the slightest bit off then the bar can't "see" the remotes all the time.

Remote dont work. lights just flash. tried to sync did not work. Bought a new remote and went to sync it now it is doing the same thing the other remote did> Any suggesions?

Basic Question: Did you set up the sensor bar?

I'm assuming you follow the instructions to plug in the Wii and to attach the sensor bar to the console and position the sensor bar so it is either below or above the television.

The Wii remote flashes (more specifically the bottom row of four lights that indicate which player each remote belong to flashes) when a button is pushed on the control while the Wii is off.

If the Wii is on and simply sleeping (as evident by a blinking yellow light on the power button on the console) pushing the power button the control should turn on both the console and the remote. Be sure to aim the remote at the console when "waking" the Wii up and at the sensor bar once the Wii Menu loads. The remotes automatically turn off with lack of interaction.

To recap: Your remotes sound to be working fine. I would assume it might be a problem with the interaction between your console and the remotes or the setup of the console. The Wii Information Guide has pictures and pretty clear connection instructions that should help fix your problem.

If everything is set up correctly as per the instructions and your system still does not interact your sensor bar may be faulty or your console as I believe you're remotes work fine.

The game controllers needed batteries. Once I replaced them they lost communication with the console. How do I get the communication between the console and the controllers working again?

would you happen to know what controller is the main controller? if so you should have the wii off, then take the controller and point it at the wii and press the power button in the top left corner(on remote) that should do the trick. If you do not know what one was the main one, try doing it with both.
