Keyboard Keys Don't Work

I am replacing a Logitech keyboard and mouse with a Mircrosoft keyboard and mouse on my home computer that doesn't need softwear and has one plug into the USB port. I tried to uninstall the Logitech softwear and only two uninstalled,The other three said they couldn't uninstall because of some missing file.I installed the new keyboard ,the receiver and the mouse came on but not the keyboard so I can't type anything in.Is there another way I could find the problem that is not letting me unstall the old softwear since I can download anything without typing? I'm sending this from my computer at work.

Microsoft keyboards do need software installed, it's called Microsoft IntelliPoint (for mouse), and Microsoft IntelliType (for keyboard).

There should be a button on the USB receiver that plugs into your computer. Push it. It should start blinking.

Next, turn your keyboard upside down, and look for a button. It should be pretty easy to find, probably white, and it has some etchings nearby. Press that button, and hold your keyboard up close to the usb receiver.

There is also a similar button on the bottom of your mouse. Do the same thing for the mouse: push the usb button, then push the button on the bottom of the mouse, and hold it close to the usb receiver.

This may not be The Solution, but it's possible.

There is an Infrared Connection that has to be completed when setting up the Keyboard, Mouse and Receiver. The mouse often does it automatically, untill the batteries are changed, but the Keyboard is not so quick.

There is a button on the Receiver, and one on the bottom of the Keyboard. Pressing each of these withing the same few seconds will allow them to discover their connection.

This may be why the keyboard isn't working.
Otherwise, Hench Toast is right, the Intellitype software is what you need to install.

To Remove the old software, try installing the Logitech Software, then uninstall it again. There is a problem in the Registry. There is a reference to a file that is no longer there. Once the file is there, and the reference is there, they both need to be uninstalled together.

Try uninstalling the software packages in a different sequence.

Good Luck.

Richard.

How can i connect my ex110 with computer

Hello there.

  1. If your wireless keyboard came with a software CD, install that first.
  2. Then plug-in the USB receiver it came with it on a USB port on your computer.
  3. Put all the batteries on the keyboard and mouse.
  4. If it doesn't work, you may find a Connect button under the keyboard and / or mouse.
  5. You can find drivers and manuals for your keyboard and mouse here: http://www.logitech.com/en-au/433/154

F keys don't work on reboot. Work on Power on boot.

Turn your computer off.
Temporarily replace your keyboard/mouse with "generic" units.
Turn your computer on.
Check that the F-keys work.
Restart.
Now, do the F-keys work correctly?
Or, do you still get "keyboard failure"?

Instead of seeking repair replacing keyboard is your best bet. The mouse should work as long as you can plug in the receiver to the computer.

Logitech LX310 keyboard / mouse (wireless)

Firstly, try changing the batteries in the keyboard.

If still has issues, try moving the receiver to another area. Try to remove from other sources of interference such as Monitors, Speakers and Power Supplies.

If this doesn't work, try using a non-wireless mouse, and see if the keyboard still has issues.

If all this fails, then I would consider replacment.

The keyboard has probably died. (It happens often). Here's a great inexpensive combo to replace your current one. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-MK270-Wireless-Keyboard-Mouse/dp/B00BP5KOPA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491364851&sr=8-1&keywords=Logitech-MK270-Wireless-Keyboard-Mouse
