"Hauser", eh? Campbell Hausfeld may be the brand you are referring to, unless you bought a really cheap knockoff of a really cheap product (or just can't bother to spell)

Does the campbell hausfeld model sb504000 2 inch nailer/stapler need an external air to get started?

Sb504000 works just fine with pressure range from 60 to 120 psi depending on material. Any small compressor will work great. Using the gun at max pressure will shorten the life of the gun. Best practice is to set pressure to just under 100psi for most work and increase pressure when nailing hard wood. Using at max pressure will strain the driver and the lower part of gun (screws that hold nose to body). Some hard woods will bend an 18 gauge nail. Good luck with your gun and have fun with your projects.

How to fabricate a spark tester for checking the ignition sistem

You need a block of wood,a large alligator clip, some nails, screws and wire and the cap end of an old spark plug.Make a hole of 3 cm in diameter in the center of the block of wood.Enter lateral in the block of wood face to face two nails,a short one from the right side and the longer one from the left side. They are set in the middle at 3/16 inch. The large alligator clip is attached to the block of wood with a screw and is connecting to the short nail through the wire.At the long nail is attached the cap end of an old spark plug. The wire from the coil is attached to the long nail and the large alligator clips to the cylinder. If the spark tester will produce a blue spark strong enough to jump the tester gap it is adequate for the engine to run.Now you can check the ignition system and you do not have to pay for this anymore.I wish you good luck.

The rubber around the door has come loose and just tucking it back does not help. can i glue it back in? what kind of glue do i have to use?

Yes you can glue it back in using construction adhesive or silicone or regular caulk.
You need heavy bodied adhesive that doesn't run down.
If door frame is wood, I usually push the weatherstrip all the way back and then put brad-size finish nail through the wood. The nail holds weatherstrip in place.
The caulk may not hold the weatherstrip back without including a nail.
Best to drill pilot hole first so wood doesn't split.

Gun fires, leaves good indentation, no nail. WCE working properly, took head apart to look for jam but nothing in there and am using compatible nails. Also oiled it but no luck. Was working fine doing...

Remove nails and use thin tool to push driver all the way up to top of cylinder. If the gun fires one nail then skips, the driver is not returning to top of cylinder. If no nails fire, then nails are not feeding into proper position. Driver must return to top to allow nails to feed into position. Most common problems are bent driver, worn piston oring and bad batch of nails(head too large). Good luck

Piston blade won't retract

I've had a similar problem and found a nail had broken and lodged itself in the nail housing causing the driver to get stuck forward.

Using a nail gun and nail goes in wood too deeply

lower pressure leaving tank into gun by turning pressure regulating knob if your compressor has one if it doesnt you may need to get one from lowes or hd.30 bucks roughly.

16g wont shoot nails. bottom flat piece comes out

You broke the "hammer" you can open the housing and replace it, fairly simply. You can buy replacement parts at most large scale hardware or tool stores. The task takes about 10 min, and some simple hand tools.

I would not recommend. Contact Campbell Hausfeld .com and order nails. You could damage your nail driver plunger if not careful. Plead rate . Thanks

Campbell Hausfeld 3 1/2 framing nailer bends the nails

It is not the best brand but, it should work for a few projects. Increase the air flow and make sure it is lubercated. It is designed to shoot nails into soft wood, like pine. It could be a o-ring blown or damaged, which is easy and inexpensive to repair. Good luck. Phil.
