Question about Measuring Tools & Sensors
Smyrna is an ancient biblical city Christianized early in the first century by apostles of Jesus Christ. At one time the Smyrna vied with Ephesus as the number one city in Asia Minor. Early on, it was populated mostly by Greeks, then later by a large influx of Christian Jews and then it became a Roman province. In 1402, it was sacked by the Mongol Tamerlane who killed most of the inhabitants. In 1403, the city was occupied by the Ottomans and Smyrna became part of the Turkish empire. It remains a part of Turkey today and its remains are located within the city of Izmir on the Gulf of Izmir in eastern Turkey. There are two cities in Izmir, Old Smyrna and New Smyrna. Both are archaeological sites.
