You are trying to connect laptop to a tv, right? Does the TV have any compatible inputs? VGA, DVI, HDMI

Your laptop has HDMI output and is Intel Wireless Display Capablewhich means you can get an adapter that supports Intel Wireless Display and wirelessly project multimedia to your HDTV with great image clarity and sound.
If your TV has HDMI input, buy a cable and hook them together. Otherwise you can buy the adapter and hook them up wirelessly.

Is it possible to hook my dell D630 to my sharp LCD/HD tv?

If your TV has a VGA port then yes, otherwise you will need to purchase a special adapter that tends to not work well and be expensive. -Alex

I have a Philips 47" flat screen it has HDMI

First of all you must check that your laptop supports a protocol called "DHCP" over DVI. Otherwise you are chasing your tail. This information will probably be in the manual or available online. DHCP is a special handshake protocol for HDMI and your television and computer will not talk to eachother without it. If you find it to be compatible you need to lock down which input on the TV it is. Plug something in via HDMI and verify you see it. Then unplug it and plug your computer into this port. You don't want to be flicking through inputs trying to find it. Also, hook up an external monitor to the laptop and figure what needs to be done to display on it. Then try the television. My guess, though, is that you won't find DHCP compatibility if it is an older laptop. My best advice is to buy a Playstation 3 and watch Netflix with that. Otherwise you'll need a different way of hooking up which might include buying an expensive converter box and/or watching poor quality video.
-Good luck

Hp plasma ID5226N can get external audio input when in HDMI 2. I have a DVI to HDMI cable from my computer to TV, & manual says to hook the audio to the input jacks, but no sound comes out. I can use...

DVI cables are usually HDMI compatible. The downside is that DVI usually doesn't carry any audio. Your computer may need a specific audio card to transmit audio/video data from your DVI output to the HDMI input on the TV. You can find one at your local computer store and ask if it is compatible with your computer
I hope this helps...good luck

I have a tv screen which i use for my computer.I have the hdmi cords going from the video card on the back to my tv.why is it not working

Hi,
Make sure your t.v. screen supports your display card resolution. Try lowering your display card resolution in display settings. Make sure your t.v. is set to AVI.

Best wishes,

I have a video adaptor that connects to an S-video cable and then to my TV which is currently hooked up to my macbook laptop. When I try to connect the same adapter to a newer macbook, it fits the port,...

Yes. The S-video adapter is not supported on more recent MacBook computers -- those having NVIDIA graphics cards: MacBook (13-inch, Mid 2009) and MacBook (13-inch, Early 2009).

Hook up a Sony VGC RA 840G desktop to a Samsung 46 inch TV

Some TV's don't have a VGA input. S-Video cable is more common. Look on the back of your computer an see if you have an S-Video jack. If you have a TV compatible output on your computer, such as an S-video jack, just take an S-video cable and connect it to your computer and your TV. If you do not, then attach your VGA end of your adapter to your computer and use the RCA, S-video or Component Video cable to attach to your TV. After you've made all the connections, make sure you are on the correct TV video input. Press the input button on your TV or remote until you see your computer's signal.
