Almost all filters will have an arrow printed on a side to show which direction the air flow should be going. Examine all 4 sides of the filter and match slide it into the unit accordingly.

Troubleshooting hoover

Hi! Here are some basic trouble shooting steps for the Presto 2-in-1.

1. Remove the dirt cup. Push the release catch on the hand vac and pull the dust container off the motor unit
2. Remove dust container from filter assembly and cyclone separator.
3. Hold the dust container over trash can and tap out debris.
4. Check cyclone separator for additional debris, empty into trash can
5.Check the rinsable filter. If rinsing is needed, remove rinsable filter, rinse with pleated side facing up. Allow filter to completely dry for at least 24 hours.
6. Remove any hair and debris from the brush roll.
7. Remove the floor nozzle from the cleaner by pressing the nozzle release button on the back of the floor nozzle and pulling from cleaner.
8. Check and clear nozzle of any obstructions.
Hope this helps!

In the pictures of the these pants have pleats down the front of the pant leg, are these pleats sewn in or are they just an ironed crease?

The pleat is not sewn in. When I first bought these pants they came with the crease down the leg, but after washing them and steaming the pleat wore out.

How much do air conditioner filters usually cost?

I will give you my advice on air filters. The filters you should use in your ac system is the old plain filters sold by national companies like Ace Hardware and the like. Most of you big box stores and major stores try to sell the new pleated filters. They actually make more money on the sale of these pleated filters than the old plain flat filters. The new pleated filters block at least 35% of the air in your system and typically result in your system not passing enough air volume to supply the required amount of air flow. The pleated filter cause the rooms at the end of the duct run to not get enough air and will be to hot in the summer and to cold in the winter.
So to answer your question, pleated filters in my area are about 3 to 5 times more expensive than the correct filter flat type filter.

PS Some times these flat filters I am talking about are sometimes referred to as 30 throw away filters. I just changed a 30 day throw away filter after having it in place for 16 months. Every month I take the filter out and vacuum off the fuzz and hair and put it back in the holder. As long as the filter media is clean and the sides are still intact the filter will continue to work for a long time.

SoSHope this helps.

How do i wash an air filter

1. APPLY CLEANER
Liberally spray K&N Air Filter Cleaner onto both sides of filter and allow to soak for 10 minutes to loosen the dirt. Do not allow cleaner to dry on air filter.
2. RINSE FILTERRinse off air filter with cool low-pressure water applied to the clean side out in order to flush the dirt out of the filter. Continue to rinse the filter until all traces of cleaner are gone. It may be necessary to repeat steps 1 and 2.
3. DRY FILTERAfter rinsing, gently shake off excess water and only allow filter to dry naturally. Do not oil until the filter is completely dry.
4. OIL FILTER
A.) Squeeze Oil (99-5050)
Apply K&N Air Filter Oil evenly along the crown of each pleat. Allow oil to wick for approximately 20 minutes. Touch up any light areas on either side of filter until there is a uniform red color at all areas.
B.) Aerosol Oil (99-5000)
Spray K&N Air Filter Oil evenly along the crown of each pleat holding nozzle about 3" away. Allow oil to wick for approximately 20 minutes. Touch up any light areas on either side of the filter until there is a uniform red color at all areas.
Thanks

Can not get filters

Hi,
While you are looking for a new filter, you could do this(as written in the instruction manual):
1. Hold the HEPA filter
by the edges and vigorously
"TapClean" the HEPA Filter
dirty side down on a hard,
flat surface until no more
dust is observed falling out
from between the pleats of
the filter.
2.
We recommend washing the HEPA filter
once a month or when suction
appears to be reduced. Let the HEPA
filter air dry completely for 24 hours.
3. Rinse the non-woven pre-filter and let
it air dry completely for 24 hours.
4. Insert the non-woven pre-filter.
5. Reinstall the HEPA filter in the
vacuum.
Have a good day.

Hi Carlee,
The first thing you need to do is figure out which way the air flows, if the filter goes in a return grille turn the pleated side away from you if the filter is in the indoor unit however the pleated side of the filter should be facing toward the top of the unit.
